Proof of Social Value seems to be already happening as you say.
I naturally started curating based on this “idea” fairly recently.
I started to curate based on the context of who is a “good” stakeholder.
Obviously no one is going to be perfect when curating and who provides social value will always be up for interpretation. Who is a “good” stakeholder is always going to be up for interpretation.
But this difference in interpretation is where things get interesting. There is where the math and psychology within the Hive ecosystem converges.
I think PoB stopped being a thing well before I got here. I distinctly remember a lot of the people I met years ago would complain their content was “better” than the content that was getting the most upvotes.
If people have not been following PoB but people were told this chain was about PoB, I can see why it was frustrating for some people.
Yes, PoB has been dead for a while but pieces of the puzzle that would shift us from that paradigm did not exist yet. I can also see why that limbo would frustrate some people.
KE ratio, commentrewarder, topcomment, POSH, short form content. These are all relatively new and did not exist a few years ago.
I was also moving to curating like this naturally, but the thing that made the idea concrete in my head was the QnA we had with @ecoinstant yesterday and some of the discussions I had today about AI.
That is what social media is for: social interactions.
