Over the last couple of months, I have been filming WMC gigs, as well as the Coffee Shop Sessions, and I have done them all multi-cam, using the four Mevo Start Cameras.

I bought this Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra recently, and it is going to come to the gigs, so I can use it for the cameras. This is going to take all of the pressure off my phone.
It has a 14.5" screen, which gives me a lot of real estate, where I can really see what is going on, on the cameras.
With its powerful processor, it will handle all 4 cameras running simultaneously.
Previously, I had been using my phone; however, it was struggling with it, meaning that I had to drop the quality of the cameras down to 720p, and I had to set the bitrate down to 5 MBs.
Now, the bitrate is maxed out at 20 MBs and the quality is maxed out at 1080.
The higher quality will make a big difference with future gigs.
GL.iNet GL-A1300 (Slate Plus)
I bought this mini WIFI router to bring to the gigs, too, and I set it up last night.
All I need to do is plug it into the mains of the venue, connect my phone to it with a C-cable, and it takes my data and runs it to all of the cameras and the tablet.
This wasn't necessarily needed for filming the gigs; however, I want to live-stream the gigs soon, and this router will give me a much better and more stable internet connection by allowing me to set up a private network wherever I go (so long as I have power)
Again, what this does, like the tablet, is it takes the pressure off my phone and keeps things running smoothly.

It's not a very exciting picture, but it's an example of what everything will look like.
There is a gig going on tonight, so I'm bringing it all with me to set it up and see what we can do.
I'm so impressed with everything, and can't wait to run it through its course.
When I was in college studying TV and Film Production, this is exactly what I wanted to do; I was trying to get into filming and live-streaming events. However, the drawback was that I was trying to do it using a DSLR, a GoPro, and a phone, which did not work, and also, all of the cameras looked different, which wasn't great when trying to cut between them.
Now, with this setup, I am able to film and live-stream, and what's even better is that I can do it for myself and the Collective.
The experience I'm getting alone is great, and I think it will lead to many more gigs like this.
I am also going to use this setup to film and live-stream sessions where I am making models using the polymer clay, which I am really excited about, too.

With all the new tech gadgets, it will be easier and easier to livestream events, as they are more affordable. So, in a nutshell, what we see in the VAR room on a TV from a soccer match, you have the same equipment in your backpack? 😃 Tablet, router, small cameras, and you are ready to go!

Dude, that is exactly what I've got in my bag of tricks now haha
Back in college, we did live-stream events, and it required big, chunky video cameras, hardwired to a rack system, with the feed sent to an editing app, which then went out to YouTube. There were a lot of other aspects to it, too, but that was the gist.
It amazes me that with such a relatively small set-up, I can get those same results, and instead of needing 10 or so people, I can more or less do it single-handedly.
With the kit I have now, I would love to take it on the road, and work with music venues, or work for corporate gigs, live-streaming, or at least filming their events. We'll see what happens in the future, but for now, I'm happy to work with the Collective and just build up experience.
I was scrolling through ecency with no plans of stopping by but I my dream tab sitting on your post that's why I decided to check it. I don't know how to make nice videos with phones or so but seeing yours from here looks really nice, keep the good work 😊
