I was contemplating something I learned today and how I created the Learn2code community a while ago. I am a big believer in accessible and affordable education. I hate any form of information gatekeeping and I think sharing what we learn is a part of it. Learning is a process and regardless of age, anyone should be able to do that. This is why, sometimes I share my how-to or things I learned on hive. From how-to traveling, how-to fix, how-to this and that, I personally want to document them as thoroughly as possible because you never know it might be useful even to yourself.
How many of you have ever used this feature below here?
I personally use them a lot. I like researching before going anywhere or just checking out things relating to stuff I enjoy/like. You’ll be surprised that you can find most things from there. Unfortunately, sometimes people don’t really write thoroughly but at least when it comes to a place, you get the gist of what to expect. I am probably weird but I like to know if I need to prepare something before stepping into a country/cities/or just new provinces. And when it comes to troubleshooting stuff, that becomes even more important.
In the past I liked writing problems that I found and how to solve them. Usually I find the same problem a year later or something and rather than relying on google search, I used hive search and searched for my blogs. It’s pretty helpful and since then, whenever I come into a problem or learn how to set-up a new piece of software or if I have a problem, I would document them. But those things I wrote definitely saved me from more headaches having to go through a bunch of articles that just don’t work.
What I normally do would usually be like, in a case when my laptop doesn’t work.
- Find a phone
- Find how to and add my username + hive on the query search
- Found my article and proceed fixing my troubles
So, that’s how hive has saved me a lot of the time. Sometimes I also check places I visited and recommend it to a friend when they ask me something.

Oh yes, I also use that features. Especially if I am too lazy to look for this one particular of mine which is publish years ago or something. With the title I remember or just the words I will type that to search it. Thanks to that I save more time than if I look for that particular article manually in my published article, lol. Hive has a lot of cool and really useful features no, hehe
hahaha so true! it's one of hive cool features that I hope people use them more. For me it's mostly relating to my laptop problems that I came across at least once a year and sometimes I just forgot how to😂. So, hive definitely saved me on that front from getting more headaches haha

This feature is really helpful! you never know you might need to pull out one of your written article.
I always use the search function of any site I am using, or a platform I am signed up on. That's most esp. here on Hive, where I will search about a topic I am writing about, to see who has already posted something about it.
Same here! i use similar things on twitter too and anywhere. It's convenient to use hehe.
That’s great to see. Personally I have had a lot of trouble searching hive for what I’m looking for. I don’t know if it’s poor search structure or what. I have had specific posts in mind when searching but all kinds of garbage not related shows up instead it’s annoying haha. I do like to search hive for things though! Screw Go%%le!
Google is pretty irrelevant these days haha. It's filled with garbage according to me and I enjoy reading less SEO-optimized content but an actual person experience.
