RE: Rant, Complain, Talk - Empty Supermarket Shelves

I wonder one thing, do you guys have supermarket app where you can order stuff from home? Where I live we have plenty applications where we can order basically everything from home, from groceries to booze to home supplies. The sellers are also regular people instead of big chains. But the bigger chains are also joining into the e-commerce market as they adapt with the situation.

There's also telemedicine, online pharmacies and more. Do you guys also have these services?

Though yes, it feels quite scary when you check on site and see the empty shelves. It's like something is about to happen or some shit. I felt that way too whenever I go out but if I use my "super app", an app that does everything from paying bill, sending money, shopping, getting food, there's actually no problem at all. The only thing that I can see is that this pandemic is such a huge shift on how we're going to live our life for the next decades. As someone in my early 20's this wasn't something I expected.

Hi yes we can order online. In the first lockdown, if you ordered online it took a long time to get a slot. This was because nobody wanted to go out or didn't want to queue at shops so put more pressure on the online service. It's a lot better now but I enjoy going out.

My friend has just been into our local Pets at Home shop and she's been told they might have to ration the dog food as they are having difficulty getting it.

I have been thinking about writing a post on super apps. So, after reading your post, I am more interested about working on it, which is why I was asking. Also, how many providers of online services are there? at least here there are 4 huge ones marketplace where I live and there wasn't any queue.

I think that these super apps, could be answer to such quite bit of case during these pandemic. From logistics to even health services. There was a case of panic buying milk where I live recently, but online it's still available yet at a steep price, the same thing with oxygen.

Also thanks for replying to my question!

I think most of our big supermarkets do online deliveries. I'm not one for ordering online much apart from Amazon and Ebay. Good luck with it, anyway! I'm off to buy extra loo rolls! 😁
