RE: Suck it

What's interesting though is those types that end up there get their masks ripped off here first, talk a big game but everyone knows it's fake, then ran, to hide. Simply cannot negotiate obstacles in life. That hissy fit stuff is just smoke and mirrors; trying to distract people away from the fact they fucked up and too weak to face it.

I'm also seeing a few from that crowd always here to downvote comments and whatnot. What they don't realize is when someone out of the loop clicks those names out of curiosity, they see ugly profiles and links to blurt. So those downvotes that lead to insanity is their first impression of people on blurt. Just another fine example of how they act in ways that lead to fucking themselves. The trail of breadcrumbs always leads to the truth they're attempting to cover up. ~shrugs~

Weak of mind and weak of character; interestingly, those two things often go hand in hand.

Yeah, I've had seventy or so in the last six or so days from one such. Every time it that user does it though the user sinks a little further into the mire of misery that is that users mind and life. It's like driving nails into one's own coffin...But they never see it that way of course. Also, ugly profiles and links to Blurt, exactly man, and how they think that's endearing themselves to others or winning support is bonkers.

There's one (not sure if he's on Blurt) who was posting very low-effort stuff 10-15 times a day to take advantage of their own self-vote and an auto vote from a user who disappeared from the blockchain in the middle of the year. I addressed it. The sad thing is they used to post quite well and gained up votes from me. When I saw the spam I returned rewards to the pool. They didn't appreciate it and created a little (uncomplimentary) series of posts with me as the central character and ranted and raved to all who would listen but, as you may suspect, no one was listening because they had already pushed any legitimate people away with their farming and spam. Now...probably blames me for his demise and will tell everyone who asks, as he did in a comment to you recently. Par for the course.

how they think that's endearing themselves to others or winning support is bonkers.

Certainly won't be attracting the solid acts I see around this place. A lot of these folks have a good head on their shoulders.

I'll call it prey again and say they're attracting more prey, but that's about it. Someone has a rough day after fucking up, has an outlet; a place to go and hide rather than face it and fix it. Once they arrive they do everything in their power to look attractive to that clique over there by taking certain elements of a well known script; feeding them what they want to hear in order to be accepted. Clique sees dollar signs and pounces on the prey, knowing full well they could come here, see the entire series of events, and find holes in the story. They know they're being bullshitted to but don't challenge it because that individual running from problems might be, useful.

And this other 10-15 times a day guy. I think I know who you're talking about but I didn't look too closely at the history there. Stumbled into that one just browsing, if we're talking about the same one. An artist?

Damn it, you explain it so well. I wish I could articulate it as well as you. I should offer you a job writing my posts. Lol.

Those folks over there just want people to buy into (financially) the concept. I've not really seen it to be honest, just a post or two, but the chaps on my Discord group enlighten me when it's relevant. None of it is positive. Just a bunch of people being nutbags. Actually, I just wrote my leadership post for tomorrow and it's this quote...

image.png

As you said about the traveller earlier...Each of these people have the ability and can make the choice to be other than they have already chosen. The kicker is...they don't. They all feed of each other's negativity, hate, pride, hubris and nutbaginess.

The 10-15 guy? Yep, digital art. I saw your commenting and was going to interject but there is no point; I even let your vote reward on the post intact for once. It's like these people are unable to see what they have done is wrong in preference for blaming other people for it though. Same old story. Entitlement, lack of ownership and general nutbaggery, and not in a good way like me.

Dude I can't even write my own stuff. I'm in gathering mode; letting things in rather than pushing things out. Then once my head is full, I'll burst again. Was away for awhile and since I don't write about my life's details I don't arrive with a mountain of material. When I left all I was thinking about was how fucking low and disgusting people can be and didn't want that to interfere and bring me down.

They got trolls, liars, and thieves as witnesses now over there. That shit will haunt them forever. All locked into several blockchains, forever.

Reputation matters, especially in crypto. If someone wants to bring it down all they have to do is go there and tell the truth. And yes, because of the chosen path; doomed to fail with the flip of a switch. Impossible to lie their way out. FUBAR

It's good you folks are out there pushing brooms; trying to keep the streets clean. And if I think you're making a bad call, I'll tell you. It's happened before. I think it was about movie posters? Something like that. Talking about when fair use is actually fair use. If someone thinks I'm making a bad call with an upvote, downvote it. I don't care. This is an even playing field.

As for that artist dude, just in conversation I said:

Others choose to go on a rampage, burn bridges; self destruct. Never ending psychotic smear campaigns that just lead to more downvotes and make them look like fools. No coming back from that and it's a permanent blemish on a blockchain of all things. Often they choose to leave over playing fair and never learn from their mistakes or even acknowledge the fact they screwed up.

When I said that, I didn't know he actually did that...

After talking to him he did decide to start making the right calls. He should be staring at that most recent post with ZERO votes. He cannot blame people who stepped in to stop the nonsense for his struggle here. I've never seen a member who's been around for years get ZERO votes. And I hope a different approach now leads to success, if that what he wants. Or maybe this platform just isn't for him. And that's fair too.

Dude I can't even write my own stuff.

I get it and I know you've taken breaks on previous occasions. I like what you said about letting things in which is something many others should find time for. Also the disgusting behaviours and all...That traveller& we mentioned earlier and others...I understand. I talk to Boomy a lot and we both agree on the negative impact of it. There's been many cases of course, not just us, but yeah, it's sometimes best to take a step away.

There's a few sweeping the blockchain, trying to. I guess, for me, I see it as somewhat of a responsibility to those doing the right thing to address those doing the wrong thing; it creates a better place for everyone.

Of course, there's always interpretations and with humans, well, nothing is ever perfect so errors can be made. I suppose it's all about finding some understanding for the people who stick their necks out for the betterment of the blockchain and accepting that occasionally an error might occur. Ranting about it is rarely the right way to deal with it, certainly with me in any case.

Ranting will generally have the reverse effect than the ranter intends, especially when the ranter is in the wrong such as say, not following the rules of a community set by the community owner who gives his time and effort to keep the community looking in top notch shape for everyone else. Attacking said community owner with racially motivated and defamatory remarks is never going to end well for them.

I'm also blessed/cursed with a memory like an elephant so coming back from that disgusting behaviour you mention above is virtually impossible. I have a low tolerance for entitled assholes who seem incapable of seeing what they do as wrong.

I tripped over a post a little while ago; some dude was flying off the handle calling everyone incompetent and demanding everyone shut the fuck up if they don't like it. So I looked to see what might have triggered it. Someone politely asked him to not self vote when using two specific tags. I asked him a few simple questions he couldn't process and suddenly he thinks he's having a debate, using alt accounts to help create the illusion that people have his back. Later I noticed he was getting downvoted, I assume for a combination of the self voting, smears and ranting. I then saw him claiming he was being downvoted for his political views. Lie after lie snowballing into self destruction, all because someone asked him politely to follow the rules of their community.

Another element added in to that whole spiel was, "I'm the 'little guy' being attacked!"

Playing on peoples heartstrings, attempting to gather empathy, but the reality is anyone buying it, is gullible. Does the shop owner first ask how much money someone has before they bust someone for shoplifting? If they're rich they go to jail and if they're poor they're free and can keep their ill-gotten gains?

That asinine 'little guy' spiel is the most intellectually lazy argument of them all. It's dirty and designed to prey on gullible minds. A tactic used to manipulate people. They're attempting frighten those out there keeping the streets clean into putting the broom down. Then preying on gullible minds; trying to get people to feel sorry for them.

Because just being honest and rising above a simple mistake is so hard?

Some of those types are so good at manipulating people, after murdering several and ending up in prison for life, they still have women sending them love letters.

Yep, I've heard it all before, the scenario and actions you mention.

That little guy being attacked thing annoys me - like you say, doing the wrong thing isn't negated by the fact a person is a little guy. Wrong is wrong.

I had some one say it and yet they've been around six years, (a year longer than me), powered down and removed everything they earned for the whole time. Here's me who has left everything I earned in as stake and who votes broadly and most top-level comments left on my posts with that stake. So yeah, don't talk to me about being a little guy when you actively chose to be that way. It's never a good excuse, and certainly not in the case you mention, although I don't know who you're talking about.

Also, using alts to support himself to make it look like he has friends. 🤣

Society breeds mediocrity and reliance upon others rather than self. It promotes the hand-out mentality, the I am, so therefore I deserve thing. I disagree with it and will never reward that, here on the blockchain or in real life. This attitude, and other things, pushes the entitlement agenda and causes people to want to bring others down rather than lift them up...again, what my Think like a leader post is about in 10 hours. People are just lazy I guess.

Following rules in communities is simple. The reaction to not doing so is even easier:

Oh, I'm sorry, I understand why I've been muted and will pay more attention next time. Thanks for your efforts in making your community look great.

Had that guy who I addressed a little while ago in my community had done so, the one that has now gone to blurt and created a galenkp tag to vomit vitriol, he'd still have a Hive account and be earning. But nope, he attacked me, went straight to calling me Nazi, racist, anti-Semite, white trash (I'm brown by the way) and then subsequently destroyed his account. Fucken bonkers. There's no coming back from that. I'm not racist, but in calling me so publically, he obliterated any chance of recovery. Ever. I'm stubborn like that.

I wonder, would he say similar things if he was pulled over for speeding on the highway by a cop? Methinks not. Also, knowing me as I do, I doubt the person would say those things to my face, or ever fully recover from the ramifications of doing so. Behind the keyboard though, anything goes.

It's not that hard to apply a better reaction to being addressed for not following community rules...Except when a strong sense of entitlement is involved...and other factors besides.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter really. They don't matter. I have zero care factor if someone doesn't like what I do in my communities - they're mine. I don't care if people post there or not, I made them for me. It's for that reason I uphold the rules of play and have literally no compulsion to bend them to suit an entitled assholes whim, or anyone else's. I want them to look good, they're a reflection of me to some degree. If people don't like it, they can post elsewhere. It's a simple thing really.
