RE: The World is On Fire - Plant a Tomato

I've been banging the drum about AI for at leasta year now, it's moving so fast and the gen pop aren't paying attention to what industry experts (tho I don't like using that term you know what I mean) have been saying about the dangers of AI - especially when used in a war context. I think a lot of creative people like yourself are waking up t the reality that we might be giving away our very souls to AI - let alone our brains. Your rant was like a dip in icy but invigorating water.

You know, I was fascinated when it first came out and used it a lot. That was really a way of understanding how it works. I do LIKE it for research (such as trying to find an ebike) because it's minimalist - the internet is dead these days, a landmine of pop ups, AI content and relentless advertising amd lies. For me AI is a sieve, filtering out what I don't want. However, as you say, there's real issues at stake here especially in a war context, and the way people are accepting it and unaware of where we are headed is unnerving.
