ABOUT
A Tamer License is an NFT which will unlock all the features of MuTerra.
1 Tamer License NFT can be given to only 1 Tamer. Once given, the NFT will be burnt and the tamer will unlock all the features of the game.
Tamer License will show the name of account it is present in. (For physical copies, you will be able to personalize the name later.)
You can buy or sell or transfer Tamer Licenses from one account to another just like any other NFT.
You can play the game without a Tamer License, but you will not be allowed to leave the main Level/Map and earning from the game will not be possible.
NOTE : If a player has multiple tamers, they will need multiple licenses if they wish to activate them all. Taking a License from tamer and giving to another is not possible.
MECHANICS
- Once you apply a Tamer License to a Tamer of any rarity, that particular Tamer will get activated. Which means, you will be able to start earning from the game by using that activated tamer.
NOTE : Once a Tamer License is used to activate a Tamer, that Tamer License will be burnt and cannot be retrieved. So, you cannot take a Tamer License from one tamer and give to another.
Every time you send an activated Tamer to another account, that Tamer will lose its active status. The new owner will then have to reactivate the tamer again by buying and applying Tamer License.
A Tamer will retain its level and name when transferred to a new account and reactivated.
NOTE : You will be able to change the name of your tamer by paying a certain amount in MUT.
- Tamer License when applied to a common tamer (default tamer) will mint 1 common tamer NFT.
PRICING
Tamer Licenses will be priced at 20$ each.
First 10,000 Tamer Licenses will be sold at a discount of 50%. So, they will be priced at 10$ each.
We will be accepting HIVE, SWAP.HIVE, HBD, SWAP.HBD and SWAP.WAX as payment.
We will accept MUT as payment at a later stage. Hive-Engine market price will be used to determine how much MUT will be needed to purchase 1 Tamer License. The MUT received as payment will be burnt.
Physical copy of your Tamer License can be bought by paying in MUT or other crypto at a later stage. Payment received in MUT will be burnt.
Tamer Licenses are also eligible for MUT airdrop. So, if you have unused Licenses in your account, don't worry, they'll be earning MUT for you. Details on MUT airdrop will be announced in another post.

STORY
We first made the licenses from wood, simply with the names engraved on them. Why you ask? Well... People died or disappeared every day back then. You’d happen across a mutilated body, with no way to know who it was, or if it was one of your team members. The licenses helped with identification.
Obviously, the wood thing didn’t last, I think a month at best? We replaced it with scraps of Forest Iron, the bits that were too small to be used properly, and at that point, it was still only engraved with a name. Nothing like the fancy items you third genners get now.
About… I’d say couple months in; we added group symbols, then town symbols back when there were more than one, and finally the council’s seal when we perfected the process.
Then came Erika. You remember Erika? Elan brought her back from Maldi… or the Maldives, I don’t know what they call it.
Anyway, she was studying this thing, a parasite of sorts, that apparently we all carry in our blood, and that's all about self-preservation. You've seen Erika work, you know how she gets. After a time, she realized that when that parasite's divided in two and you start burning one half, the other half starts growing to survive... You should have seen everyone's faces when she demonstrated it...!
With that principle in mind and a bit of coloring, we now had a new powerful tool to ink licenses.
The "blood ceremony" you kids go through is nothing but taking 2 drops of your blood and putting it on 2 licenses. One for you, as identification, and one for the Wall, in the town’s HQ.
If you’re ever in danger, your license starts “bleeding” and we know you need help. It’s not an exact science, we often arrive too late, but it’s still pretty darn good.
MUTERRA
MuTerra is set in a post-apocalyptic world where radiation has killed almost all of humanity and has mutated plants and animals. You, the survivors, are tasked with ensuring that humanity doesn't go extinct by exploring the wild, capturing the mutated animals and taming them.
MuTerra is a TCG + RPG game which will be on HIVE blockchain.
The RPG aspect will deal with explorations, raids, quests and more.
While the TCG aspect will deal with PvE and PvP battles, where you collect NFTs and fight each other to prove you are the better tamer.

I am not sure, If I like that every Tamer NFT needs its own Tamer License and that it needs to be bought anew when selling to others.
I guesss this is to make sure, that one human is not having several accounts using the same NFTs or to make it more difficult for bots to farm rewards. If this is the case, I think it is ok.
Can't wait to finaly play the game. Until than I am having a !BEER on your welbeing.
The decision to reactivate the tamer on selling/transferring the Tamer NFT was taken to counter a lot of problems that well established blockchain games currently face. This is one of the many counters we have put in place.

I'm very excited, but I think the $20 tamer license is a little high, although I could be wrong!
If you consider the fact that you'll be able to buy tamer license using MUT, tamer license won't feel expensive.
All you need to do is to buy 1 license. Use it on 1 tamer. Play the game and keep earning MUT. And then use the MUT to buy another license.

No. Its just that the first 10,000 Licenses will be sold at a discounted rate. Tamer License can be considered as the entry point of the game. Without it a player cannot earn anything from MuTerra.
