It’s hot in Leipzig. It's probably the last over 35 degrees day. I think about spending time at home but it's the last chance to take time at the market with my daughter.
So we left home earlier than usual to avoid the hottest time. We ate ice cream for snack, quickly bought vegetables and fruits and came back home.
It was already hot but was a good decision to go to see the market. Still there are a lot of summer produces but we could also see autumn tastes 😊
We bought a pumpkin to make first pumpkin soup of the season in the weekend when the temperature drops by 10 degrees.
That's my market Friday. Thank you for hosting this wonderful community, @dswigle!
Have a nice weekend & happy shopping to all 🍅🍅🍅
Your snack looks delicious!! The chocolate is rich and looks like fudge! :))
I cannot believe that it is getting to be fall already? We are still hot and I expect to be for the next month. There has not been a reprieve for two months. I love pumpkins soup. It is one of those delightful things that only fall can bring. :)
I am glad you went to the market early, I must on the hot days like this. I cannot tolerate hours of heat... I overheat with it beating down on me. I want to thank you for sharing your market with us! I love all my markets post sent to me! I have learned so much from all of them, exchanging cultures, and also making for a better understanding of our world. If we understand each other, there is more tolerance, in my opinion. Thank you for providing an opportunity for me! Each week, I enter the challenge to provide a different look of American culture, some of it over the top and some, everyday things. It shows off how much we are alike and how different life can be. In the end, it makes it an experience that I look forward to. I appreciate the love and support you give to #MarketFriday! It Is heartwarming to see how many posts into the challenge, including you. Thank you! Truly! Your participation adds a unique flavor to the mix. I just love clicking on the link and having a new world open up, right before my very eyes! Thank you again for being a part of all this! I hope you have a lovely weekend!

I like the pack of mixed currants - most of the time you only get black or red ones. And the first pumpkin of the year... yes, we all wait for cooler weather :)
Do you have experience with pumpkin gardening? I'm thinking about trying out Hokkaido pumpkins next year. The water melon had nice blossoms, but nothing else...
Market stands in this mixed style this year. I like it a lot as I can taste various berries at a time with the same price 😊
I tried several gurke family this year but pumpkins didn’t do well ... they just made flowers like your water melons. Only bitter melons do good so far 😅
Like our zucchini - most of the blossoms had the wrong gender ;)
My zucchini’s were the same 😭 I replace them with Broccoletto next days. I don’t have gender worries for them 😆
