These days I go to market mostly by myself as it is on Tuesdays and Fridays. But it's holiday for her so we went to market together after a while.
I gave her my old iPhone 8 as a camera. She wanted to have a camera for long.
Here are some photos she took. Interesting to see her point of view.
In the end we bought eggplants (my favorite) and a melon (my daughter's recommendation).
We ate fried potatoes and ice cream for lunch and dessert but no photo ... we were hungry 😁
We stopped at a new shop "House of Sweets" following my daughter's request. She bought a really colorful sweet with her pocket money. She liked the store a lot and I ................... 😉 The selfie generation took a selfie of course. I asked her permission and put one here.
It was a nice market visit with my daughter. I wish we can do it many more times in the next years.
Have a nice weekend!
I think that is adorable that you allowed her the camera to take pictures. It is always interesting to see what sparks their attention. I see she is like her mother in that she takes nice pictures of the market.
Not so much the selfie! That is all this generation. She is absolutely adorable and I am glad you had a visit and got your eggplants and melon! Now, everyone will be happy, yes! Sounds like a nice lunch! I can see you will have many good markets over the years! Thank you for taking us along!
#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday
