How hard it must have been for the African slaves to build this amazingly big complex come fort over a span of 100 years. Not only were they taken from their country worked and so badly treated.
The Caribbean is such a wonderful tourist destination and one that we are yet to visit in the future now that covid is slowly going away, at least I hope this is the case.

I couldn't agree with you more. I am at a loss as to what would make one human even think they have control over another. How? Why? WTH? Women should have ruled the world. We would have used mother rules. :)
It is a huge tourist destination, mostly because of the weather, and then, you realize the rich history they have, at the same time, very bloody history with fights for control. Again... the control. :(
Today, most live in relative peace. I hope you get to go someday, I don't think you will be disappointed.
