Now that it is summer time in the Philippines, my son has a lot more screen time rather than those days when there were still classes.

He spent the vacation here in Cebu City and one minor problem he got was that his cellphone’s charging cord is no longer working, therefore, he could not be able to charge his phone anymore.

He pleaded if he could get a new charging cord for his phone, since we all have different phone types, our charging cords won’t fit each other so he really needs to get a new one. I have an iOS charger, my partner has a type c charger and my son needs a micro charger.

As a mother, we always do our best to provide for our children’s wants and needs. I said yes to him that I will buy him a new phone charger because he deserves it, as a young, responsible man, he deserves to use his phone during summer time.

We could not deny that using our phones is one way to ease our boredom, as a mother, I am not against my son using his cellphone, I just make sure he uses it with moderation and control. I make sure he balances his screen time and his outdoor activities. It is important that we manage that because too much usage of phones as we know is dangerous.

I know a perfect place to buy an affordable phone charging cord, at MR. DIY. We went to Mr. DIY located in the LG GARDEN WALK, Mactan, Lapu-lapu City, Philippines since it is the Mr. DIY branch closest to our location.

If you are familiar of MR.DIY, they sell most of the home needs you are looking for. They also sell electronics, chargers, laptop accessories and so much more.
The best things I love most are their kitchenwares and utensils that always appear so unique rather than other retail stores.

When we arrived at MR. DIY, it did not failed us, there are so much options for us available. My son needs a micro phone charging cord.

My son checked the micro phone charging cords available. He chose what he liked most.

After choosing the charging cord we want to buy, we went to the testing area to make sure the charging cord is working. Good thing, it works perfectly well. I also forgot to ask how many days their warranty is but normally it does have, as long as you keep the receipt, the item and the box intact.

As consumers, especially when buying electronics, we really need to make sure that what we will be buying is working and fully functional. We need to test it first before buying to make sure that it is worth every penny.

This charging cord is just ₱89.00 but no matter how cheap it may be we must make sure it is not damaged and it is working well.

We finally chose what charging cord to buy and since it is the only thing we needed to purchase, I resisted the temptation of looking around and buying unnecessary stuff.

My son happily lined up at the cashier brining his charging cord. After the purchase, he thank me for it.

My son is such an appreciative boy and he is grateful for all the little things that is why I never get tired of providing for him.

It is important that as parents you teach your children the importance of gratitude, by that way, they will be able to appreciate even the smallest things. That no matter how cheap a thing may be, they must be aware it is from hard-earned money.

It was all for today’s errand. We then went home happily. Ciao!☺︎♡

Ehhheee, happy kiddo na ulit ang anakis mo, uwu. Seriously though, a smartphone become a huge part na talaga ng buhay nang kahit na sino. Parang it became a necessity na din diba, aigooo.

Yes let's all admit it's 2024, children have their own phones. It's okay, as a mother, I really have nothing against that. As long as he uses it with moderation. Until 8pm lang din after nun sleeping time na talaga dapat.

nice post. thanks for sharing
