A friend and I went to the nearby town of Ramsgate, on the south coast of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. Once there, we came across one of this beach markets.
Unemployment in South Africa is very high, so almost on every beach you get these vendors that are trying to make a living.
They sell a variety of goods, like, beachwear, swimming costumes, hats, bodyboards, beach bags, jewelry etc. There clientele are mostly holidaymakers.
It's a colourful affair, and are definitely attracting the attention of the holidaymakers. As locals we have seen a lot of these markets and we normally try to stay clear of them. The vendors can be quite persistent in their efforts to convince you to buy something.
On this particular day my friend and I was just spending time together, so we enjoyed browsing the stalls.
Being on the beach is a bonus and helps to just create a relaxed atmosphere.
Hope you enjoyed my market.
