Back when I travelled back to hometown at Sibu, mum said she wanted to buy more jogger pants for his eldest grandson. She noticed his pants getting tighter especially at the waist, so she said, "Let's go to Everwin huge market." However, eldest son did not come along because he was very entertained by the show of Mandalorian. He was watching his episodes by episodes with his daddy at home (my parents' house).
EVERWIN
This is really huge market, they called it hypermarket. It used to be Giant Hypermarket then bought over by Everwin group.
Location: Lot F16 Giant Hypermarket Sibu Lot 1304 Block 3 Sungai Merah Town, Jalan Ling Kai Cheng, 96000 Sibu, Sarawak.
For this #marketfriday, we only walked at the clothes area and toys area, did not walk to other areas which sells meat, vegetables, dry groceries like rice, sauces and etc. Basically you can get anything here according to my mum. But since Giant closed down and being took over by Everwin, the business wasn't good.
From road side, it looked like this. I took the below from the car when my mum was driving.
Once we entered the building, we were greeted by this huge shoe shop. Such varieties of shoes, I was so tempted to walk in, but, I reminded myself we were here for buying jogger pants for my eldest son.
Huge Shoe Shop
Brand Public
The miscellaneous shop
Let's go up escalator to 1st floor
We were greeted by a stage. More outdated stage deco, hehe. Old green cloth.
Continue walking, and there were some furnitures laid at the side for display and some food shops at the center.
We reached Everwin hypermarket
We gotto passed by this section to sanitise our body first. This — quite high-tech.
My mom was right when she said Everwin really sold a lot od jogger pants. Too many until we took some time to choose for the eldest boy, Jayden. He was not there with us so we got to estimate the waist and length. I used myself to measure the length since I am only 10-15cm taller than him. He is really catching up.
Okay, we managed to choose 3 jogger pants.
Then, my mum moved on to choose clothes for the youngest boy, Jansen, who was there with us.
Then, my mom saw a very nice spiderman shoes, just the size of Jansen's feet, so she wanted to buy for him too.
She asked me to choose my clothes but I had bought a lot for myself before Chinese New Year, so I had enough.
We continued walking, the toys section was just next to the shoes section. Unknowingly, my mom walked into the aisle.
She asked Jansen to choose a toy. He chose one! Such happy boy, to be pampered by grandparent.
We continued to walk to see what else needed to buy. Such huge hypermarket, everything organised and neatly arranged but no crowd at all.
There used to be a very famous bakery here but closed down and never opened another bakery, my mum said.
I guessed there was not anything else to buy, so I went to the cashier to want to compete with my mom to make payment but she won. She told the cashier to let the elderly paid. Then my mom told me, "She ever win one.". Get her joke?
She paid total RM150 about $34. Indeed, a great purchase at Everwin.
Just felt very blessed to have extremely awesome parents.
Thank you to @dswigle for initiating #marketfriday for us to share our market or buying experience, or for us to explore others' markets too.

You are really lucky to have such a wonderful mom who seem to know where to buy anything :D So far the mall seems okay just like the ones we have here. I wonder now how it would have been like when it was the former owner. Jansen is a lucky boy. He must have been delighted when his grandma said to choose a toy :D
