Market At The Ocean

It seems that this week ran too fast that I almost forgot that today is Friday. Glad I came across @dswigle post which reminded me about "hey, it's Friday. Have you forgotten to write something for #MarketFriday?" Yes I did, so I quickly rummaged my gallery for market photos to share.

Don't be confused about the title, there isn't a literal ocean market here, but rather at Ocean Park. In case you have not read My First Polar Adventure yet, you're missing out on some cute polar creatures. So go tap the link to visit it.

Every after visiting each zone in Ocean Park, you'll come across souvenir shops with different themes depending on what zone they are located in. I was led down to yet another gift shop as I left the North Pole Encounter zone.

Hung on the wall by the stairway was this giant frame of walrus which I believe, the largest water creature in Ocean Park.

As it was inside the Arctic Adventure building, it was only natural to see toys with polar animal themes, including penguins. These cuddly toys are so adorable that kids would want them without a doubt. I bet you liked them too.

More huggable animal stuffed toys in the corner and some for whiskers lovers.

I didn't expect to see Peppa pig toys too. I mean, there wasn't a pig in Ocean Park, lol.

It turned out that there were more than just Ocean Park animal-inspired gifts here. Even dinosaurs and other creatures of the jungle existed. This little Elsa appeared to have changed her preference from snowballs to dinosaurs. She couldn't seem to decide which one to pick in the end.

Whiskers & Friends were too joining the polar animals. This candy brought back some memories of when I was a child as we used to buy this kind when visiting the market. I bet you liked sucking whirly pops too back then?

Cute coin purse in Ocean Park animal designs has fair prices. They looked sturdy which I guess was worth the money. There were whiskers, cute pandas, and other designs.

I spotted some cute unique lamps and lego toy houses on the other side.

The souvenir shop wouldn't be complete without souvenir shirts for Polar Adventure. It's up to your decision whether to go with the North Pole Encounter of South Pole Spectacular designs. Either way, you will love the designs. My favorite were those printed with penguins.

Of course, there were shirts for panda lovers too. Can you zoom out and check that kiddy hoodie (lower left) panda style? Cute, aren't they?

Food was available at the corner for those wants to munch something while wandering around Ocean Park. Some can be taken home too like that tea and coffee brewer.

IMG_20230102_180305.jpg

I must include the Panda Kingdom Shop as well. There were whiskers & friends collections in this shop as well as panda-themed items.

Lastly, the selfie girl is here who loves to shoot her reflection in the mirror. Because that's another souvenir item, I believe.

That concludes my #Market Friday. If you have some stories to tell about your market experience, don't hesitate to drop them in this community.

Happy weekend 😊.

Did you escape this shop without buying anything though?

How did you know? 🤣

Selfie had no grocery bags hehe. I thought maybe one of those stuffies would have left with you

Your title got me thinking that maybe since this world is so crazy, there is somewhere under the sea where we can go shopping, diving?

I'll ask St. Google.

Of course, customers have to know about scuba diving, at least the basics, and also like to do that activity.
It wouldn't be a bad idea to set up a small market under the maaarrr (with the mermaid Ariel and the crazy crab).

In your market I would buy teas because I am already running out of mine, maybe there is one with marine flavor.

😆

I guess it's possible in a place where parts are submerged in the water, like hotels and others..... 😊

True, it is a possibility 😅

I would get the cuddly stuff toy! Probably the penguin from your 6th photo, the one with black color. Weeeee! They're so cute!

All penguin stuff are cute for me hehe

Mostly kids ang magiging happy sa mga paninda dyan ate. Hihi

Kahit din nman adults hehe

So cute teddies 🐻 hope you enjoyed it. Beautiful memories

Look at all those stuffed animals! How sweet! Ocean Park was surely a fun place to go! The penguin (everything) was right up my alley! I think I would select that! Who doesn't love a penguin?? I have to admit that walruses intimidate me. They are big and can be ornery in real life!

I was surprised to see other things for sale at first, but, then I looked like they were trying to make all the sales they could, which is why they had a little bit of everything in case you forgot something! :)

They certainly had a good supply of clothing, toys, and treats!!! You truly know how to take us along! Hey, selfie girl, all that fun stuff and nothing to take home? :)

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world. Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday
