Managing Inflation // Market and expensive products

in Market Friday3 years ago

Hello Hiveians.

It has come to that point where am seeing everything like a dead end
Market tour can't be interesting when everything is expensive and not affordable.
Each time you arrive at the market, prices of goods doubles its original price and they call it inflation.
Naira is devalued they say and working to get large amount of it is like running a race on a horse tied to a spot.
You can barely attain financial stability earning income in naira.
With all of these happenings many around here looked into cryptocurrencies , buying and saving their incomes in crypto until
On the 5th of Feb 2021 when the Central Bank of Nigeria released a letter that was addressed to banks and the other financial institutions in the country prohibiting activities that deal with cryptocurrencies.

How is all this reform going to aid the value of naira, all we desire now is an easy and simple life for the common man.
The central bank governor stated that
"Cryptocurrency is not legitimate money. Cryptocurrency has no place in our monetary system at this time and cryptocurrency transactions should not be carried out through the Nigerian banking system, Due to the fact that cryptocurrencies are largely speculative, anonymous, and untraceable, they are increasingly being used for money laundering, terrorism financing, and other criminal activities. Small retail and unsophisticated investors also face a high probability of loss due to the high volatility of the investments in recent times." source

Having said all these, I believe there are no business that is not associated with some form of risk and individuals should be left to decide for themselves on matters of risk taking.
Now the naira is of no much worth and you are having some form of hindrance trading with cryptocurrency.

All we are asking for is an affordable and comfortable life for all. How the country tends to achieve this through the fiat system alone is what I am looking forward to.

After my Aunties physiotherapy section this morning, we decided to take turn round the market for to get some tubers and grains foe the family.
We could only afford half of the quantity we usually purchased and that means we have to cut down on our daily meals.

Nice to see you on Leofinance Monica 🙂
Talking about the rate at which cost of living is high, it just same as here in SA with the Rand.

Life is just getting unbearable by the day hopefully cryptocurrency gets us out or alleviate this hardship as we keep accumulating cryptos hoping they moon someday soon.

You are right my brother.
I pray we all survive this and live to see better days ahead

In part, that is true, that it is being used in an illegitimate way. But, the economy of Nigeria is banking on it to get ahead.

That aside, those are some yams!!! Only there can I see them of this size! Wowsers! There have been some really interesting ways that #MarketFriday has been presented, all of which add more charm to the mixing bowl. The challenge points out our differences, but, then, it also shows many things our cultures share. When the day is done, it shows off how human we all are and how we basically all care about our families and others.
