RE: Haymaking: Method of fodder preservation.

in StemSocial2 years ago

I recently found out that oyster mushrooms are grown in hay bales and sold commercially for home growing.

Hello dear friend @alexanderalexis, your question filled me with a lot of curiosity and led me to investigate the proliferation of oyster mushrooms in hay. Undoubtedly, this type of fungi can naturally proliferate in hay if it becomes wet and begins to decompose, it would create an ideal environment.

Some people use the hay as a substrate for this type of fungus, they moisten the material so that it decomposes and if the material is rich in nitrogen it is better because it is used for the maintenance of the organisms present.

See you later, have a great week.
