it is a good reflexion but for a child grow up with a pet is the best idea, my daugther grow with little rocco but unfortunatly he passed away in june and is not the same she was missing him for a few days and he was her best friend, they are like litte angels with a short life :D

So sad to hear about the passing of your pet, I hope you get her another one soon. It's always so cute to see children bond with pets, but there are times when I just get scared of the risk of infection too.
