In recent days we have had scientists claiming that they discovered beneath the ancient pyramids of Giza the existence of ancient technology, a secret city with deep shafts, spiral corridors and unexplored chambers, something the size of two Eiffel towers buried in the Egyptian desert beneath the pyramids.
Is this something real or even coming from the mouths of scientists could it be just a conspiracy theory, the recent study led by Italian and British scientists Conrado Malanga and Filipo Beyondi claims to have used synthetic aperture radar and 3D seismic tomography to detect five large interconnected structures under the soil of Giza.
The study is part of the so-called Khafre project and suggests that there are hidden chambers and passages. deep vertical shafts of more than 600 meters and a large void connected to the great gallery of the main pyramid, a published graph shows a structure with more than 6,500 m², the equivalent of two Efiel towers in a somewhat colossal area and according to them unprecedented.
Scientists claim that they could have located the so-called House of Mind and mythical structures described in esoteric texts as spiritual domains or underworlds, some spiritualists believe that the home houses the hall of records, which would contain the lost knowledge of ancient civilizations, including forgotten or non-human technologies.
Despite this, there is no concrete archaeological evidence to confirm the existence of these places described in ancient legends, the reaction of the scientific community was immediate. The renowned Egyptologist, former minister of antiquities of Egypt, described the research as unscientific and based on unreviewed, untested and unvalidated methods, and in fact the research has not undergone peer review at least until the time of this publication.
According to him, it is impossible for the technological methods used to have penetrated the rock layers of the pyramids to generate such deep data. Furthermore, the Egyptian government has not authorized new excavations at the site and has already blocked the group's access to the surroundings of the pyramid.
Despite the rejection by experts, the authors of the research insist that the pyramids were not just real tombs, but structures with medicinal and religious energy functions. They defend that the great pyramid functioned as a kind of resonance chamber filled with water used in healing rituals or as an energy generating plant and this was also one of the beliefs of Nicola Tesla who had the idea of transmitting electrical energy through the air and according to some scholars he was inspired by the pyramids to design a giant tower that would emit electricity.
Despite the controversies, one thing is certain The pyramids continue to challenge our understanding and in recent decades technologies such as ground-penetrating radar and thermal scanning have already revealed voids and hidden chambers such as the large space identified in 2017 by French and Japanese scientists within the Great Pyramid.
Even so, no discovery so far has approved the existence of underground cities, mystical temples or lost record rooms and now this new discovery has not been well received by the archaeological community, Dr Zahi Hawass himself, an iconic figure in Egyptology, has already classified everything as completely wrong, in the end we are facing a revolutionary discovery or another sensational story.
