About planet number Y, the main researcher Amir Siraj said it in an interview with CNN, it seems more correct to call it planet Y, and not invisible planet, it is a bit strange, although this hypothetical planet does not eliminate planet number nine, they would be complementary, although curiously if the existence of planet Y is confirmed it would automatically become planet number nine, since the eighth is Neptune and number nine would, if its existence is confirmed, become planet number 10.
We will also have to give them other names, obviously we are not going to call them with numbers, but the important thing is first that it would be closer to us, it would be in the Kuiper belt and that is why they suspect that this planet exists, because according to these researchers they have made calculations on the orbits of certain objects in the Kuiper belt that also have anomalies and the only explanation they have found is that there must be a planet with the mass at least that of Mercury and at most that of the Earth or little more, which would be between 100 to 200 astronomical units.
The Kuiper belt is a ringed and flat area of the solar system, this is different from the Oort cloud, there are many comets there and from time to time a comet comes from the Kuiper belt, but it is a flat area, while the OR cloud is a bubble that surrounds the entire solar system, also with billions of comets, if this world exists, it would also explain the mystery of the Kuiper cliff, an empty region that exists beyond the Kuiper belt.
The interesting thing about all this is that, if planet Y, or Nine, is discovered, any super-Earth would mean that at least one super-Earth has survived in our solar system. Super-Earths are a very common type of planet in the universe. 6,000 exoplanets have been discovered and 1,300 are super-Earths, but they are interesting because they can host complex systems. Even though they are in such cold regions, they can host systems as complex as what we find on Titan.
Titan has rivers, it has lakes, some as large as seas and it has a very complex chemistry. In fact, it is very easy for a planet of that mass to retain atmosphere and especially if it is far from the sun, which would not receive the impact of the solar wind, and even if it did not have a star to provide it with heat, because the Sun would provide less than a thousandth of the heat that the Earth receives, it would probably be in the range of -223º to -173º, depending on the internal heat flow, which would be greater than the flow of titan, for example, since being a relatively large planet the size of the Earth or in the case of planet number nine, even larger, about four times greater than the Earth, in mass, its internal heat would be much greater.
But taking into account that the climate on these two worlds would be extraordinarily stable, since their orbit around the sun would hardly provide any variations, there would be practically no seasons, we could deduce that liquid nitrogen can remain for long periods of time, perhaps hundreds of millions of years.
