The Fram2 private space mission, the first crewed space orbit around the Earths poles, has landed safely back on Earth.
As stated my Gwynne Shotwell from SpaceX "Welcome home, @framonauts! It's so worth doing, but wow, nerve wracking."
Laura Forczyk, Founder and Executive Director of space consulting firm Astralytical, did a good summary video of the mission which you can watch here:
One particular point to note is the shortened training time for the crew. None of them were astronauts, they are all private citizens who were able to train for and execute a mission in record time.
This was a great achievement and could raise discussions about the time it takes to get people ready for space under NASA.
With colonization of the Moon and Mars on the horizon, and with much larger and private space stations being developed, the array of jobs needed in space will increase dramatically.
What training do you need as a space tourist, or a space station cleaner, or cook?
Space is certainly changing, so our on Earth preparation for it will need to adapt as well.
