Thanks for this nice post. I have a few questions/comments.
- Is what you called the ‘Planck curve’ in the post simply the black body spectra (that depend on the star temperature)? I have the impression that it is.
- Do you use any system to cool the camera? I have heard that this sometimes help to get greater pictures. I however do not know as I am not an astrophotographer.
- If I am not wrong, the possibility for a start to manage to star to burn carbon depends on its mass. Only the most massive ones can get there, which is not the case of our sun for instance.
- Note also (if my memory is intact) that not all stars give rise to supernovae. Some of them will turn into planetary nebula before getting to a white dwarf, whereas others will collapse into a supernovae that will then give rise to a neutron star or a black hole. The chosen option always depends on the star mass.
Cheers, and thanks again for the post and the nice pictures!
Thanks to you for rating and contributing something interesting to the post! Actually everything you said is true, it did not cool the camera because my telescope is also limited. I cannot photograph nebulae and galaxies, there it is advantageous to use the cold! To get spectacular things we talk about 8 thousand euros, and well I am getting into this topic and also something powerful is useless if I do not know the basic things! Little by little we are leveling up, once again, not all curators stop to comment and congratulate a post, but it is something that motivates a lot! It gives essence to the platform, we go from uploading a post and waiting for money ... To an interaction where you learn and enjoy!
I know it was expensive, but not at that level. Damned. I would not buy it too for such a price!
PS: I like to have a look to all supported posts, and try to comment them when I have something interesting to say. Of course it works better for topic I am connected with! :)
