So as I am always about, I come your way once again today with another health discussion, and while our topic today may seem more like a general thing we are here to look at the perspectives that relate to the eye and the many possible differentials you could have just from a simple or supposedly common headache. You would be amazed at the diverse diagnoses a headache could bring out.

I do hope you are ready and that you enjoy the read, stay with me as we dive into the ocular health aspects of headache. I hope this helps a dear reader and or a friend, a colleague, or a loved one.

headaches

Headache may be considered or perhaps even defined as a discomfort in the head or a painful sensation within the head. Headaches could be so painful one could become dysfunctional as a result and then it could also be mild and tolerable. A lot of things could easily bring about headaches, thing as simple and common as stress can result in headaches.

Not eating well enough could give you a headache, cramps could give you a headache, hypertension would give lots of regular headaches, not getting enough sleep can give you a headache, etc. The list goes on and on and on. However, the fact that headaches could come about so easily and could be literally nothing serious is why you ought to not necessarily disregard it.

Because they could also mean something serious and could easily be overlooked and treated with painkillers until it's too late. When it comes to the eye, headaches are quite common when an individual has a binocular vision anomaly, when they have a refractive error that is not corrected, when there is a tumor growing somewhere in your brain, when there is an inflammation going on somewhere within the eye or the head itself or brain, etc.

I simply can't list them all but I want to draw your attention to the fact that your headaches could also stem from your eye and most often they tend to be issues that can be solved by simple lenses and you do not have to experience them again. This is very common among hyperopes because they tend to use more accommodative power all the time and until the eye is relaxed their headaches may never go away.

Also, if there is any form of pressure buildup or tumor growing up in your brain your eyes would pick up the signs easily due to its direct connection to the brain, you could literally save yourself a whole lot of ordeal just by getting your eyes checked, a very simple solution could put an end to your headaches or you could find that diagnosis that has yet to be detected and you will be free.

So do not underestimate headaches and if you are unsure of what could be causing your headaches, see the GP and then see the Optometrist, and even when you think you may know the cause of your headaches I would still recommend a visit to the hospital just to be sure. Your health is your wealth, do not joke with it.

The eye is such an amazing tool when it comes to the diagnosis of diverse conditions within the body that we all ought to get our eyes checked every now and then. If you haven't checked your eyes before, now is the time to do so and if you tend to get a lot of headaches then you have an even better reason to visit your Optometrist.

And so wrapping up, I wanna say do not use over-the-counter medication without care or prescription from the right source and when I doubt always speak to a professional, thank you for reading and for your time. I appreciate you, have a wonderful week, stay safe, and stay blessed. Cheers.
