AI reaches the most intimate place in our home.

Health surveillance has reached the most intimate place in the world, the bathroom, traditional manufacturer Kohlerlaunched the Dekoda, a camera equipped with artificial intelligence that is installed on the edge of the toilet and analyzes what you eliminate, all in the name of medical prevention.
All data is end-to-end encrypted, processed by AI, and displayed in the Kohler Health app that features hydration charts and gut health reports. The device runs on a rechargeable battery and can operate for a week without charging. Despite the promises, the device raises questions about privacy and the limits of home monitoring, after all, even if the company guarantees complete anonymity, the idea of a camera installed in the toilet continues to cause discomfort, especially in times when even virtual assistants and Smart TVs have been accused of collecting excessive data.
