STEMng Digest: It is just a matter of time...

There is a popular saying that "time heals all wounds". While I chose to disagree because not all wounds get healed, time definitely does put an end to everything.

If you are presently hurting, time offers you two options - it either heals you or puts an end to your suffering. Some folks are just not patient enough to heal, and would rather end their own life to end the suffering - with a little more patience, time would have done this for them.

If you are presently enjoying and everything seems perfect, time also offers you two options - either things turn the other way around or time simply truncates the enjoyment.

In other words, irrespective of your current situation, it is just a matter of time.

Welcome to a new edition of STEMng Digest.

Who are we?

STEMng is the Nigerian sub-community of the stemsocial community, a community that has been supporting stem authors on the hive blockchain for about four years now. While stemsocial focuses on everyone irrespective of their country, STEMng is specifically for Nigerians. The best stem contents published by Nigerians on the Hive blockchain are highlighted weekly.

Below are the posts that made it into our digest for this week:

1.@oluwatobiloba: When the presence of fibroid should make a woman panic.
Kickstarting our selection for this week is this post from a veteran author discussing a topic that has to do with the reproductive health of women. Fibroid is actually more common than we can ever imagine, some just don't have symptoms and do away on their own. Those at risk are usually those within the reproductive age. As a young woman or man, this is a must-read if you don't already have the knowledge of what fibroid is all about.

2.@clinton19: Weekly Science And Technology Reports - November 19 2023
A little taste of what the research into science and technology has been cooking for the past week. Human exploration of Mars continues with the development of an AI that could synthesize oxygen. The world's oldest dog just died, but a lesson or two can be deduced from the event. New reasons just emerged about hiccupping. Read the weekly science and technology reports to know more.

3.@ebingo: Effective Repetition Ranges to be Leaner and Stronger
If you are a fitness trainer, a fitness enthusiast, or someone who's looking to gain one or two things from working out, here is a little gem of a post. Yes, the post title is about the effective rep ranges to be leaner and stronger, but the actual article contains so much more. I invite you to read the entire article and never forget to support eh author as much as you can.

4.@nattybongo: Taking Your Family for Eyecare
This next post is more of an advice than anything else. It emphasized the essentiality of taking our family members for regular eye checks in order to forestall future abnormalities, especially those that are hereditary. The interesting thing about the article is the cover story which makes it an enjoyable read.

5.@busted1: Treating Blindness with Gene Therapy and Optogenetic therapy
Our last feature post for this week is also about the eyes. The author specifically discusses the possibility of treating blindness, especially those that are hereditary, using gene and optogenetic therapy. The bright sides as well as the challenges that may ensue are discussed in this article. I promise that the article is worth every minute of your time.

And that ends our selections for this week. Do not forget to give the featured posts/authors your maximum support. Thank you in advance.

If you are a content creator on Hive and wondering how you can participate in the community, all you need to do would to:

  • Write original content or videos
  • Make it as interesting as possible
  • Adopt beautiful layout/formatting
  • Personalize your writing (it is social blogging, remember)
  • Use copyright-free images
  • Include references (facts over fiction)
  • to increase the likelihood of being discovered, use the tag 'stemng'.
