Long Dock Park is one of our favorite spots here in the Hudson Valley, and it's one of the more popular parks for Hudson Valley locals and NYC daytrippers alike. As such, we've avoided it since #ShelterInPlace began. With basically every other form of outdoor entertainment out of commission, people are heading to public parks in droves (the ones that are still open, anyway), and the more popular parks are seeing larger than normal crowds for this time of year.
While this is fairly local to me, I consider Long Dock Park a #NorthofNYC travel gem, and if NYC is on your travel to-do list in the future, definitely make sure to add Beacon (and this park) to your itinerary! The artsy, hip, and vibey City of Beacon is just a convenient 60-minute ride north from Grand Central, and this park is steps away when you get off at Beacon Station.
I've got lots of photos of Long Dock Park in my digital archives, but for this post, I'm sharing just three for @psos's #TravelAtHome photo challenge. These photos are from a late afternoon visit last summer.
