La convivencia entre Kishi y Reina
It has been a long time since I last wrote in this nice community, however, it is a pleasure to be here again, to share with you the experiences I have lived recently with my little naughty queen who now lives in company, not only with humans, but also enjoys spending time with her companion Kishi, a very big dark colored cat with different color reflections, who in personality is very different from her, a very big dark colored cat with reflections of different colors, who in personality is very different from her, as she is quite quiet and not very sociable, despite that, she has not missed the opportunity to share with her while they are at home, although at first I was a little scared because Kishi has very sharp claws.
Es mi primera vez conviviendo con un felino, tengo que admitir que me costó adaptarme a que ella saltará a los mesones y por todas partes, pero ya ambas hemos entrado en confianza, ahora ya estoy adaptada a su presencia, aunque de vez en cuando me asusta cuando cae desde cualquier lugar de altura hasta donde yo estoy, también he podido observar que a pesar de que es tímida es cariñosa y fiel, espera a mi esposo en la puerta cuando esté sale de la casa.
It is the first time I live with a feline, I have to admit that it was hard for me to adapt to her jumping on the countertops and everywhere, but now we have both gained confidence, now I have adapted to her presence, although occasionally she scares me when she falls from any height where I am, I have also observed that although she is shy she is affectionate and faithful, she waits for my husband at the door when he leaves the house.
En el caso de Reina y Kishi es muy gratificante ver cómo comparten, pero sobre todo es bueno ver cómo juegan y se acompañan mutuamente de hecho de vez en cuando. Kishi deja que reina se lleve algo de su comida y en ocasiones Reina también permite que ella coma primero.
In the case of Reina and Kishi it is very rewarding to see how they share, but above all it is good to see how they play and keep each other company from time to time. Kishi lets Reina have some of her food and sometimes Reina also lets her eat first.
¿Cómo se logró este gran avance? En primer lugar, se permitió que estuvieran juntas en un mismo espacio con supervisión y con el paso de los días se fueron acercando a oler a la otra, sobre todo ciertos días que Kishi estaba más receptiva. Aunque tomaba solo unos cuantos segundos al principio, luego fueron sintiéndose en confianza, este fue el inicio de la relación que tienen ahora, al principio sentía miedo de que estuvieran cerca, pero ya me siento muy tranquila gracias a la paciencia y constancia.
How was this progress achieved? First, they were allowed to be together in the same space with supervision and as the days went by they got closer to sniff each other, especially on certain days when Kishi was more receptive. Although at first it only took a few seconds, then they felt confident, this was the beginning of the relationship they have now, at first I was afraid of them being close, but now I feel very calm thanks to patience and perseverance.
Más adelante se observó, que empezaban a jugar por cortos periodos, Kishi se acostumbró a la presencia de Reina, también olfateaba sus juguetes, poco a poco se fueron sintiendo en bien en compañía de la otra mientras fueron pasando cada vez periodos más largos, juntas.
Then it was observed that they started to play for short periods, Kishi got used to Reina's presence, she also sniffed her toys, little by little they felt good in each other's company while spending more and more time together.
Aún de vez en cuando, hay días donde ellas desean estar cada quien en su entorno, sin embargo, no se hacen daño ni se intimidan como al principio, hace pocos días las observé comiendo una al lado de la otra, un avance que creía que no sería posible.
Even from time to time there are days when they want to be each one in their own environment, however, they do not hurt or intimidate each other as at the beginning, a few days ago I observed them eating next to each other, a progress that I thought would not be possible.
Mi recomendación es que si tienen mascotas que no se llevan bien, dejen que estén en el mismo espacio con supervisión por un tiempo, sin forzarlas, para no crear un efecto adverso, luego vayan reduciendo la distancia entre las mascotas hasta que se sientan cómodas. Así podrán con gran alegría observar como aprenden a tener una sana convivencia mientras sus mascotas ganan un compañero o compañera.
My recommendation is that if you have pets that do not get along, let them be in the same space with supervision for a while, without forcing them, so as not to create an adverse effect, then reduce the distance between the pets until they feel comfortable. In this way you can watch with great joy how they learn to have a healthy coexistence while your pets gain a companion.
