¡Hola mis queridos amantes de los animales! Espero estén bien la noche de hoy. Les cuento que esta noche ando llena de nostalgia y en negación de que mi pequeña Mei Mei, llamada así por el personaje principal de una de mis películas favoritas: Turning Red, ya esté cumpliendo su primer añito de vida y es que aún la veo tan pequeña e indefensa como cuando la vi por primera vez.
Hello my dear animal lovers! I hope you are well tonight. Tonight I'm full of nostalgia and denial that my little Mei Mei, named after the main character of one of my favorite movies: Turning Red, is already celebrating her first birthday and I still see her as small and helpless as when I saw her for the first time.
Hoy ya es toda una mujer independiente, aunque de vez en cuando saca su lado vulnerable y nos busca por cariño y compañía pero el resto del tiempo siempre esta en sus michi aventuras como dice mi amor, pero nunca lejos de casa. Desde pequeña la hemos tenido tanto tiempo a nuestro lado que le da miedo la calle, sin embargo ha desatado un amor por los techos pero siempre vuelve.
Today she is already an independent woman, although from time to time she brings out her vulnerable side and looks to us for affection and company, but the rest of the time she is always on her own adventures as my love says, but never far from home. Since she was a little girl we have had her so much time with us that she is afraid of the street, however she has unleashed a love for the roofs but she always comes back.
Recuerdo como si hubiera sido ayer cuando llegó a nuestras vidas. Era tan pequeña que entraba en los bolsillos de un suéter. Así nos la llevamos con nosotros a muchas partes y ella se quedaba tranquila y dormía. Hubo un tiempo donde la llevábamos con nosotros para que estuviera con sus hermanos en bici y ella ni una queja. Luego creció y ya las visitas no era tan placentera como antes jeje supongo que son cosas del crecimiento pero aún mis tíos vienen a verla y quedan enamorados.
I remember as if it were yesterday when it came into our lives. She was so small that she fit in the pockets of a sweater. So we took her with us to many places and she would stay quiet and sleep. There was a time when we took her with us to be with her brothers on the bike and she didn't complain. Then she grew up and the visits weren't as pleasant as before hehe I guess it's all part of growing up but still my uncles come to see her and they are in love with her.
Recuerdo también su primer baño, mis intentos de que con el tiempo le gustaran como a los gatos que veía por las redes, pero aunque ella hoy en día no pelea (mucho) cuando se baña, aún no es del todo su agrado. Solo la baño cuando ya noto que su pelaje esta muy sucio de resto la dejo tranquila jaja.
I also remember her first bath, my attempts to make her like the cats I saw on the net, but even though she doesn't fight (much) when she gets bathed, she still doesn't like it. I only bath her when I notice that her fur is very dirty, otherwise I leave her alone haha.
Ya hoy es una gata fuerte y hermosa. Cuando ya tenia la edad adecuada decidí tomar la decisión de esterilizarla para evitar que se escapara y los gatos la persiguieran y me le hicieran daño. Afortunadamente todo salió bien y fue una buena paciente con una recuperación exitosa y hasta ahora no hemos tenido ninguna preocupación. Mei es una gata tranquila (a veces) y juguetona.
Today she is a strong and beautiful cat. When she was old enough I decided to spay her to prevent her from running away and cats chasing her and hurting her. Fortunately everything went well and she was a good patient with a successful recovery and so far we have not had any worries. Mei is a calm (at times) and playful cat.
Por ser su primer añito obviamente no puedo dejar pasar la perfecta oportunidad de hacerle su respectiva sesión de fotos como mamá gatuna orgullosa. Aunque definitivamente es más fácil decirlo que hacerlo.
Since it's her first birthday I obviously can't pass up the perfect opportunity to do her respective photo shoot as a proud cat mom. Although that's definitely easier said than done.
Pero se logró finalmente. Mi Mei Mei es toda una modelito, además miren los detalles bellísimos que hizo mi increíble suegra @cirangela, gracias por apoyarme en mis locuras❤️

Definitivamente mi bebé ya creció, ya no entra en un suéter, ya no cabe en la palma de mi mano, cada día come cada vez más y comienza a explorar mucho más los techos (afortunadamente no baja de allí y vuelve rápido) Pero son cosas de su crecimiento. A pesar de todo sigue siendo mi bebé, aquella que me busca cuando quiere cariño, la que me sigue hasta en el baño, la que se queda conmigo haciéndome compañía mientras cocino y ve películas a mi lado por las noches acostándose siempre en mi panza. ¡Feliz cumple mi Mei Mei, mamá te ama!
My baby has definitely grown up, she no longer fits in a sweater, she no longer fits in the palm of my hand, every day she eats more and more and begins to explore the ceilings more and more (fortunately she doesn't come down from there and comes back quickly). In spite of everything she is still my baby, the one who looks for me when she wants affection, the one who follows me even in the bathroom, the one who stays with me keeping me company while I cook and watches movies next to me at night always lying on my belly. Happy birthday my Mei Mei, mommy loves you!
