Thanks Buzzgoblin! I am a trainer :p and we work on desensitization and counter conditioning frequently :) Yes the process can be slow, but I've found consistency is the best thing. Do you have a reactive dog or are you a trainer too?

I wouldn't call myself a dog trainer, I do read, listen, and watch a lot of things on the topic though. I have a foxterrier mix, and if it wouldn't be enough, we are dealing with some separation related problems. Consistency is the most frequently used word everywhere in dog training :D
