RE: Panic at Midnight

in Hive Pets3 years ago (edited)

OMG I can imagine the situation because something similar happened to me with my dog yesterday. She is a young dog and she is not deaf, but she tries to make me think she is.
She loves to run when she is off leash. Where I live there are lots of rabbits and foxes so she enjoys chasing them. I had to buy her a collar that has a beep for when I press the button on a remote, so I hear where she is running and she hears the beep and comes back. But yesterday I got distracted for a moment answering a message on my phone and suddenly I didn't see her and I didn't hear her beep either. She had run far away, I couldn't see her and it was already getting dark so it was going to be more difficult to find her. I was also shouting like crazy everywhere her name to see if she would come back, desperate and nervous, on the verge of crying at the end after a few minutes she came back. I was so angry that I didn't know whether to give her a hug or a slap for the scare she had given me😂. But I grabbed her by the leash and went back home trying to calm down. Take good care of Molly!! Enjoyed your story lol

There's a bit of comedy in your post. Love it! Yes I hit all the emotions as well. I was panicking, nervous, upset, then she came home and I was mad. It took me forever to get back to sleep as well because my mind was going 1000 miles an hour. Maybe I should look into one of those apple chip things that you can put with your keys and find with your phone. Maybe I can attach it to a collar and put that on her. Lol.

My neighbors also saw me on their video cameras and called the next day to find out if I saw some crazy person running around the neighborhood with a flashlight. That was me! Didn't mean to scare everyone. I'm so glad that your story and my story had a happy ending. Thank you for the concern and responding with such a nice comment.
