Adult Domino

Meet Domino. She was rescued in 2012 after being born on a garage roof to a stray.

Baby Domino!

As a kitten she was very cautious of humans and didn't enjoy being petted, however she loved to play. Through playing with her every day (her favourite has always been laser pointers and shoe laces) she imprinted on me and it wasn't long before we were inseparable. I would regularly joke that she was my shadow, even burrowing her way into the bed covers in winter.

She would chase me after a shower to lay on my warm legs

She grew up being cheeky and very vocal, every time you looked at her, she saw something interesting or she wanted to play she would let out a loud chirp. A half purr half meow.

Years of fun (and mayhem) ensued until I had to move out of my house back to my parents. A few months of living there we had a thunderstorm and Domino went missing. I spent weeks walking in the fields around our house and put up missing posters, but after a month I accepted I wasn't going to find her.

Six months later I got a phone call from someone that had seen a cat that looked like Domino in some horse Stables 2 miles from our house. We went to see if it was her AND IT WAS she came running over as if nothing had happened and allowed us to pick her up and take her home.

The first picture I took of her after finding her. She had lost weight but was totally fine

Sadly the six months had changed her. She was still my shadow but from more of a distance, and was no longer affectionate. Its been 7 years since I found her and she has only just began sitting on people's laps, I presume because she's turning into an old lady.

Early on as a kitten I trained Domino to do tricks, she can do "paw" and even "speak" on command. As she gets older she gets increasingly moody when asked though, I assume she believes she should just be given treats and shouldn't have to work for them.

Well I've managed to use 9 photos from a folder of 400, so if Domino becomes a hit on here there's plenty more photos where these came from!
