Poor little Tito. The 6.5-hour drive from WV to PA must have felt like an eternity to him. Do you know how some people get seasick? Well, Tito gets carsick the same way. This was his first long-distance trip in a vehicle and it did not go well.

Less than an hour into our drive that started at 6:30 am, Tito hung his head over his car seat and blew chunks all over my favorite Pink Dolphin camo backpack. It wasn't the nastiest puke ever, but it was still vomit. A nice mix of liquid and kibble. The perfect thing to smear on my backpack and inside the zipper.

Thankfully, we were able to pull over and get it all cleaned up. We almost ran out of wet wipes, but luckily we finished the job before that happened. Sadly, the wipes were coconut scented. On a normal day, that would have been great. However, mixing coconut with the smell of vomit was far from pleasing.

My mom decided it was fair to switch Tito to sitting in the front and move the perfect travel pup Fritz next to me in the back. From then on things were much more tolerable for me. My mom was stuck nursing a sick dog and my dad was supremely focused on getting us safely to my brother's before he had to go to work.

Seeing Tito foam bubbles from his mouth was quite sad. I felt so bad for him, but there was literally nothing that we could do for him. We hoped he would eventually adjust, but he never did. I guess the motion and wobbling while inside the car just threw him off. Being as tiny as he is, I understand. I do however wonder how Fritz is the total opposite and has never gotten carsick once in his life.

By the time we finally arrived in Lancaster at my brother's house, we were all very hyped to get out of the Blazer. This is especially true about Tito who immediately started feeling better as soon as we were out of the car for good.

Our arrival time allowed us a few hours to go out to lunch with my brother before he had to go to work from 3 pm until 10 pm. More on that in tomorrow's blog. Come back for more soon because I have loads of stories to tell and pictures to show. This trip to Lancaster for my brother's graduation was great!

6.5 hours of travel is too much even for a human, but too much for little Tito, my friend. I don't know how they feel on the road, maybe all animals feel the same way.

It is a very long distance to drive, but I've driven twice as far to get to Florida several times. The airport where I live isn't the greatest. There are not many one-way trips which means flying is more expensive and slower than it needs to be.

Poor Tito! 😖 And did you dad drove all 6.5hrs by himself?! 😱 That's impressive because the last road trip I did (SF to LA) was so unbearable. Had to take a break at multiple rest stop just to freshen up!

PS. Those are some nice looking camo bags you have, looking at those colors makes me happy!

My dad is a beast. He has always been able to drive long distances like that. We did make multiple stops to get out and stretch + use the bathroom.

Thanks about the bags. I have had them for years and they are still my favorite and very eye-catching due to the bright colors and unique dolphin camo pattern.

Yeah man, definitely eye catching 😍

Singapore being a small country seldom require any drive more than 1.5hrs end to end so that road trip I did almost drained my soul 😵‍💫

I hope you and your pets are feeling better dude.

All is well here. During the car ride home my mom played classical music and it somehow worked to calm him down.

Poor little puppy

Hopefully this is true:

It's very common for puppies and young dogs to get car sick from the motion, stress, and excitement. They may appear lethargic, whine, drool, cry, and ultimately vomit all over the back seat. 1 Fortunately, most dogs grow out of this as they get used to riding in the car. source

At least he didn't whine the whole time. Although Fritz did jump up and start barking at some of the louder semis.

WHAT A SCARY GUY!! (i mean Tito, not the balk guy)

Imagine him, but 100X bigger! :P

If Tito was a giant dog and looked like he was looking during this car ride, he probably would have been put down for rabies-like symptoms.

I hope there wasn't too much puke in the car!? 🤣🤮🤢

There was quite a bit, but we were able to get it all cleaned up so it didn't really smell bad or anything like that.

Poor Tito, hugs for him.

He's feeling much better now, but he had a rough time in the car.

A long ride like this can be hectic for humans as well as for dogs. I can see this from their face, they look tired.

You also look tired, have you participated in driving?

I actually did not have to drive any thankfully. My dad did all of the driving.

Beautiful pet. It looks so cute

Even when he's sick, he's still pretty cute.

I love dogs the most because after a while they become like a family member.

He's definitely part of the family.

Pretty face 😊

Beautiful dog, love for both of us 💝
