Hoy les quiero compartir un poco acerca del proceso que hemos estado llevando a cabo con uno de los seres que más amo, mi perra Luna💜
Hace dos meses, Luna comenzó a presentar una hinchazón en su oreja, que fue diagnosticado como un coágulo de sangre, probablemente por la ruptura de algún vaso sanguíneo. Cada día la hinchazón se hacía más grande y nos preocupó, así que la llevamos a consulta veterinaria.
Luna no salía de la casa desde que era pequeña, ella odia la calle, todo le da miedo, sabíamos que sería un proceso difícil llevarla al veterinario. A pesar de que el consultorio queda a tres cuadras de mi casa, decidimos ir en el carro, sería menos pesado para ella. Mi papá colocó un plástico en el asiento de atrás (porque Luna suelta muchos pelitos🤭) y, para la sorpresa de todos, se subió al carro muy tranquila, incluso sacaba la cabeza por la ventana🥺
Peeeero... Cuando llegamos no quería bajar del carro, y mucho menos entrar al consultorio. Estaba ansiosa, caminaba por todo el lugar oliendo cada rincón, ella quería entrar incluso dónde no se podía😬 El veterinario hizo el diagnóstico de su coágulo y procedió a realizar una prueba de sangre. Los resultados arrojaron que Luna tenía sus plaquetas bajas, por ende, no estaba cicatrizando ni absorbiendo la sangre.
Por una semana le comenzamos una buena alimentación para subirle sus plaquetas, además de su respectivo tratamiento. Cuando regresamos al veterinario le hicieron una prueba de coagulación, pero no la pasó 😓 Por lo tanto, el veterinario llegó a la conclusión de que no era factible realizarle un procedimiento quirúrgico porque ella no cicatriza adecuadamente, y había altas probabilidades de que le volviera aparecer el coágulo más adelante.
Debido a esto se tomó la decisión de que Luna entraría en un nuevo tratamiento con el fin de absorber ese coágulo, sin embargo, este tratamiento también absorbería más cosas, como por ejemplo, el tejido, y en algún momento se le pondrá la orejita arrugada como una pasa😔
Esto no le afectará en nada, incluso, ella nunca sufrió, su estado de ánimo siempre siguió siendo el mismo, estaba tranquila, pero sabíamos que no podíamos dejar pasar esa enorme hinchazón. Actualmente, está muy bien, se deja poner las inyecciones del tratamiento sin poner resistencia😌✨
Luna odia al veterinario, lo mira feo🤭, pero colocándole las inyecciones en casa no hay necesidad de ir de forma seguida al consultorio. También se acostumbró a salir en carro, ahora cada vez que salimos se queda ladrando porque no la llevamos, ella quiere salir a pasear y observar a la gente🥺

Today I want to share with you a little bit about the process we have been going through with one of the beings I love the most, my dog Luna💜
Two months ago Luna started to present a swelling in her ear, which was diagnosed as a blood clot, probably due to a rupture of some blood vessel. Every day the swelling was getting bigger and bigger and it worried us, so we took her for a veterinary consultation.
Luna has not left the house since she was little, she hates the street, she is afraid of everything, we knew it would be a difficult process to take her to the vet. Even though the vet's office is three blocks from my house, we decided to go in the car, it would be less tiring for her. My dad put a plastic sheet on the back seat (because Luna sheds a lot of hair🤭) and, to everyone's surprise, she got into the car very calmly, even sticking her head out of the window🥺.
But... When we arrived she didn't want to get out of the car, let alone enter the office. She was anxious, she walked all over the place smelling every corner, she wanted to go in even where she couldn't😬 The vet made the diagnosis of her clot and proceeded to do a blood test. The results showed that Luna had low platelets, therefore, she was not healing or absorbing blood.
For a week we started her on a good diet to raise her platelets, in addition to her respective treatment. When we returned to the vet, they performed a coagulation test, but she did not pass 😓 Therefore, the vet concluded that it was not feasible to perform a surgical procedure because she does not heal properly, and there were high probabilities that the clot would reappear later.
Because of this the decision was made that Luna would go into a new treatment in order to absorb that clot, however, this treatment would also absorb more things, such as tissue, and at some point she will get her little ear wrinkled like a raisin😔.
This will not affect her at all, even, she never suffered, her mood always remained the same, she was calm, but we knew we could not let that huge swelling go. She is currently doing very well, she lets herself have the treatment injections without putting resistance😌✨.
Luna hates the vet, she looks at him ugly🤭 but by giving her the injections at home there is no need to go to the vet's office all the time. She also got used to go out in the car, now every time we go out she stays barking because we don't take her, she wants to go for a walk and watch people🥺
