When they turned two months old, the kittens took their long tails out into the garden and that is when the first tragedy occurred. We don't know exactly how it happened, but we think that when we drove out of the parking lot Kiko had climbed up somewhere in the vehicle. We hadn't made it to the fourth block when the kitten jumped out of the car and met his death. It was my oldest son who later found him lifeless on a sidewalk three blocks from the house.
