Pets are not just animals. They have feelings just like humans, so we need to show them love and care. But how far can you go in tolerating their behavior, even when they’ve done something wrong?
Another day, another pet story to share with you. Today's blog is featuring our little troublemakers at home.
Our Pet Cats: Kring-kring, Senku, and Tiger
Kring-kring — is definitely the trouble-maker. He’s the loudest and naughtiest, but also the most clingy. The moment he hears a plastic crinkle or sees us eating, he won’t stop meowing until he gets food too.
Senku — chill, lazy, and our mother cat. She was the type to come and go quietly without ever starting fights. She once had a kitten named Bambi, but we lost her. Huhu
Tiger — the one-eyed, grumpy but unbothered cat with a short temper. She lost one eye in an accident and gradually lost weight over time. I thought she was going to die because she was so weak, but I kept feeding her and she regained her strength.
I woke up early and checked the table. Only a little corned beef was left — my siblings’ brought them for lunch and Mama haven't eaten breakfast — so I planned to save half. I got rice first and left it for a second. When I turned back, there was Kring-kring, munching away. I got so mad I hit him with a stick. But he kept coming back. I ended up just shooing him away. I was frustrated because that was all we had. But I let it slide. Maybe he was just hungry too.
Rather than stress about it, I looked for other food to eat.
Meet our pet dog, Lecey. We named him that because he’s super energetic and playful. He’s been on a leash since he was a puppy, and he still is today. He’s still skinny, but his fur has grown longer.
It was bath time, but Lecey went first. He’s not a fan of water so he wouldn’t stop wiggling. I even tried taking pictures, but he was too busy moving — not a single good one. I let him dry first before untying him so he could go run around.
His fur was getting in the way of his eyes, so I thought of cutting it. Mama wouldn’t let me though. She was worried Lecey might bite me since nobody could hold him. Now he won’t even come when I call. He just runs off like he thinks I’ll hurt him. HAHA.
This is Mating, our other dog. She’s a mom who lost three puppies. Every time she gave birth, the puppies wouldn’t survive and she ended up eating them. I still don’t understand why. Despite being old, she’s still really small. She’s closest to my brother. He loves playing with her — he’d hold her paws and make her dance and stand.
Whenever I call her, Mating comes running and immediately clings to me. She’s the sweetest and clingiest one. Plus, she’s so photogenic — she loves being in front of the camera and grabbing the attention.
Home alone hits different — it’s boring and quiet. Aside from chores, there’s nothing else to do. I just crave company, and that’s what my pets give me. Even with all their naughtiness, they make things a little better.
