Después de varias semanas ausente, quiero compartir con ustedes una de las experiencias mas fuertes para mi de estos días.

After several weeks away, I want to share with you one of the most powerful experiences for me these days.

Todo estaba tan bien y de un momento a otro nuestra vida día un giro muy brusco y nos hizo pasar uno de los peores momentos de nuestra vida. Nuestro bebe Tobby se enfermo, un día no quiso recibir alimento, lo llevamos al veterinario y efectivamente los exámenes salieron muy alterados, le diagnosticaron una pancreatitis y tuvo que ser hospitalizado :(

Everything was going so well and from one moment to the next our life took a sudden turn and made us go through one of the worst moments of our life. Our baby Tobby got sick, one day he didn't want to be fed, we took him to the vet and indeed the tests came out very altered, he was diagnosed with pancreatitis and had to be hospitalized :(

Esta fue la primera visita del veterinario. Al día siguiente tuvo que salir de emergencia para que lo hospitalizaran.

Es muy difícil verlo enfermo. Los días de hospitalización fueron realmente difíciles porque se enflaco mucho estaba luchando y además por estar lejos de casa se estaba deprimiendo. Aunque todos los días íbamos a visitarlo, se podía ver en su mirada que no estaba pasándola nada bien. Todos los días llore al salir de la clínica y tener que dejarlo ahi. Sentía tanto dolor e impotencia de no poder hacer algo mas para ayudarlo y que se recuperara mas rápido.

It is very difficult to see him sick. The days of hospitalization were really difficult because he got very angry and was struggling and also because he was away from home he was getting depressed. Even though we went to visit him every day, you could see in his eyes that he was not having a good time at all. Every day I cried when I left the clinic and had to leave him there. I felt so much pain and helplessness for not being able to do anything more to help him recover faster.

Aquí estoy visitándolo en el segundo día de hospitalización. Estuve un rato con el, le lleve su juguete favorito aunque no quiso jugar nada :( y era de esperar. El tratamiento consistía en fluidoterapia es decir, no podía ingerir ningún tipo de alimento ni liquido por la boca. Todas las vitaminas y medicamentos eran intravenosos. Esto le provoco otra serie de complicaciones.

Here I am visiting him on the second day of hospitalization. I was with him for a while, I brought him his favorite toy although he didn't want to play at all :( and that was to be expected. The treatment consisted of fluid therapy, that is, he could not take any food or liquid by mouth. All vitamins and medications were intravenous. This caused another series of complications.

yo estaba fisica y emocionalmente muy agotada. Estaba junto con el luchando para hacer todo lo necesario para que se mejorara, aunque legalmente Tobby no es mi perro ya que estando cachorro se lo regalaron a mi tia, yo lo he cuidado desde siempre y le tengo un amor muy grande es parte de nuestra familia.

Los gastos de la hospitalización y los medicamentos nos tenían en una situación muy critica, tuvimos que vender varias cosas y aun así quedamos debiendo. Gracias al doctor que nos dio plazo y que siempre estuvo tan atento y cuidando mucho a tobby pudimos completar su tratamiento.

I was physically and emotionally exhausted. I was together with him struggling to do everything necessary for him to get better, although legally Tobby is not my dog since he was given to my aunt as a puppy, I have always taken care of him and I have a great love for him, he is part of our family.

The hospitalization expenses and medications had us in a very critical situation, we had to sell several things and still we were in debt. Thanks to the doctor who gave us time and who was always so attentive and caring for Tobby, we were able to complete his treatment.

Después de 4 dias, ya estaba de nuevo en casa. Teníamos que continuar el tratamiento, tuvimos que aprender a aplicarle inyecciones subcutáneas e intramusculares. Aunque es algo que me da muchos nervios, el amor por Tobby y las ganas tan grandes que tengo de querer ayudarlo a que se sienta mejor podían con esos nervios y logre aplicarle las inyecciones con éxito hasta el momento.

After 4 days, he was back home. We had to continue the treatment, we had to learn how to give him subcutaneous and intramuscular injections. Although it is something that gives me a lot of nerves, the love for Tobby and the great desire I have to help him feel better could overcome those nerves and I managed to give him the injections successfully so far.

Aun estamos en la lucha por que se mejore. Pero tenemos fe en que pronto estará muchísimo mejor. Se noto el cambio que tuvo al llegar a casa y estar con nosotras, comenzó a caminar solito, tenia mas animo, mas fuerzas y se veía mucho mejor. Es un proceso de recuperación largo pero tobby es muy fuerte y lo esta afrontando muy bien.

We are still fighting for him to get better. But we have faith that soon he will be much better. We noticed the change he had when he came home and was with us, he started to walk on his own, he had more courage, more strength and he looked much better. It is a long recovery process but Tobby is very strong and is coping very well.

Hay amiga si es doloroso cuando vemos a nuestra mascota enfermar, pero que bueno que ya este mejor Toby, cuídalo mucho y síguele dando todo el amor que se merece. Animo Pronto va a recuperarse
