Hello friends from Hive Pets! Today I am all tears of emotion and happiness, since my companion and four-legged son Ciro turns 9 years old. I find myself a bit sad because as the years go by I feel that we have less and less time together. But I do not want to anticipate that fact, so I was looking at photos of the day that came into my life and remembering all the moments we spent together.
Hola amigos de Hive Pets! hoy soy toda lagrimas de emocion y de felicidad, ya que mi compañero e hijo de cuatro patas Ciro cumple 9 años de vida. Me encuentro un poco triste porque al pasar los años siento que cada vez nos queda menos tiempo juntos. Pero no quiero adelantarme a ese hecho, asi que estuve mirando fotos del dia que llegó a mi vida y recordando todos los momentos que pasamos juntos.
Ciro came into my life on December 7, 2012. A couple of weeks ago we had lost our dog Nashcko, who was also a golden Spanish Cocker Spaniel. Nashcko's last two years had been in treatment for congenital heart disease, so as you can imagine my family and I were devastated. So my boyfriend from that time decided to give me (and give us) a surprise, he came to my house with a black cocker spaniel in his arms. Our first reaction was anger, I will be honest with you, the gift did not seem correct, a living being is a very great responsibility. And to make matters worse, he had acquired the dog at a vet, he had bought it! I was not very happy with the idea. But it took 10 minutes to change my mind.
Ciro llegó a mi vida un 7 de diciembre de 2012. Hacia un par de semanas habiamos perdido a nuestro perro Nashcko, que tambien era un cocker espaniel color dorado. Los ultimos dos años de Nashcko habian sido en tratamiento de una cardiopatia congenita, asi que como imaginarán mi familia y yo estabamos devastados. Entonces mi novio de esa epoca decidió darme (y darnos) una sorpresa, llegó a mi casa con un cachorro de cocker negro en sus brazos. Nuestra primera reaccion fue de enojo, voy a ser sincera con ustedes, no nos parecia correcto el regalo, un ser vivo es una responsabilidad muy grande. Y para peor, èl habia adquirido el perro en una veterinaria, lo habia comprado! no estaba muy feliz con la idea. Pero bastaron 10 min para cambiar de opinion.
It was enough to look at that little face, that big mouth and those blue eyes for my anger to disappear and I fell completely in love with him. And of course my mother was delighted too, my father took a while to accept it but finally we were all more than happy with the new member of the family. We spent some time thinking of a name, and I decided to name him Ciro.
bastó con mirar esa carita, esa boca grandota y esos ojos azules para que mi enojo desaparezca y me enamore completamente de él. Y por supuesto mi madre quedó encantada tambien, mi padre tardó un poco en aceptarlo pero finalmente todos quedamos mas que felices con el nuevo integrante de la familia. Estuvimos un tiempo pensando un nombre, y yo decidí nombrarlo Ciro.
We live in an apartment, so his life is not very hectic. From the couch to the bed, from the bed to the couch and eating in between. So every so often we go for a walk to a lagoon, or river, and we take Ciro to run and be in contact with nature.
Nosotros vivimos en un departamento, asi que su vida no es muy agitada. Del sillon a la cama, de la cama al sillon y comiendo de por medio. Asi que cada cierto tiempo vamos a pasear a alguna laguna, o rio, y llevamos a Ciro para que corra y esté en contacto con la naturaleza.
Even this last year we all went on vacation together and he was climbing big mountain rocks!
Incluso este ultimo año nos fuimos de vacaciones todos juntos y estuvo trepando grandes rocas montañosas!
My dog has had some health problems typical of his breed and age for some time now. So I have been seeing how every time he sleeps more and he looks somewhat weakened. For example, as a reason for his birthday I decided to give him a bath and while I bathed him I noticed his skin drier, his bones more protruding. And as much as he took a quick shower, he got tired and sat in the water.
Hace ya un tiempo que mi perro está con algunos problemas de salud propios de su raza y su edad. Asi que he estado viendo como cada vez duerme mas y se lo ve algo debilitado. Por ejemplo, como motivo de su cumpleaños decidí darle un baño y mientras lo bañaba noté su piel mas seca, sus huesos mas sobresalidos. Y por mas de que fue una ducha rapida, se cansó y se sentó en el agua.
But you really enjoyed hot air drying! then at the time of brushing he decided to run with the brush! hahaha it was time to play.
Pero si disfrutó mucho el secado con aire caliente! luego al momento de cepillado decidió salir corriendo con el cepillo! jajajaj fue momento de jugar.
I wanted time to stop or at least give
us many more years together!

Que hermosa tu pasión.
Hoy justamente estaba conversando con alguien sobre la poca capacidad que tienen las personas en dejar de ser egoístas y empezar a comprender el lenguaje del amor. Esto nació debido a que mi pareja, tiene tres hijos que no son míos y mientras todos me critican el estar con ella, yo la amo por lo que ella es y todo lo que aporta a mi vida con su familia.
En Venezuela tuve un perro, un pastor Alemán, era de mi hermana pero yo la quiero como que si fuese mía y ayer justamente conversando con el hijo mayor de mi chica, le estaba explicando que una mascota, más un perro nos enseña la increíble lealtad y amor que puede sentir alguien por nosotros. Recuerdo su mirada, ternura absoluta y de la forma en la que se desesperaba por darme un abrazo con sus patas, su esfuerzo y las personas no logran entender el significado de esto.

it is evident that you have spent good times together. It is inevitable not to think about the moment that our pets may leave this world, but if we think about all the nice and beautiful moments we have spent together, we realize that it has been great to have them as pets. Ciro is a very cute dog!
