We spent a lot of time looking for someone who could take care of him, but we had no luck at all. No one seemed interested in giving this little furry guy a home. Time went by, and I grew more and more attached to him. I asked my dad if he could keep him, thinking he would say no, but to my surprise he said yes. I was very happy because I could continue to have frequent contact with him and I could keep an eye on his progress. My dad also fell in love with Mao and welcomed him into the family. It was a great relief for me to know that Mao would have a permanent home and that I would not have to be separated from him.
