My twin kid goats and growth.

in Hive Pets23 days ago

Good evening,
My friends in this noble community, @hivepets. It's a pleasure to be here. I love pets, most especially goats. As a young girl growing up in the village, living with my maternal grandmother, she had and reared so many goats in her house. I was always admiring them.

Every time i went to farm with her a little far away from home, coming back she'll cut so much grasses suitable for her goats to eat, of course grasses are their main and major food, though goats can as well eat human foods like rice, yam, just name it. Any available food for the humans are equally okay for goats.

Goats don't eat all grasses, they have their special types of grasses that immediately they see, or someone brings it, they will rush to eat them none stop. Goats love their food so much, Goats eat a lot of different grasses designated to them by nature.

It's therefore a task on the owner of the goats to go all out there to cut bunches of such grasses, bring them home, tie the grasses up somewhere, they will start eating till the end.

Achama, mother of kid goats and her twin kids.

Ashley and white male goat and the blacky and white male goat. Two of them are (fathers).

This is my she goat by name "Achama". She was pregnant earlier in the year and by July, 26:2025, she delivered her two female kid goats, they both are females, they're really growing rapidly. Goats go through their gestational period for six months dot.

Brown coloured goat is Achama, mother goat.

Achama, the mother goat.

Yesterday, the 26, 09:2035 was their two months birthday 🎈🎂🎈🎂. Before this their two months of birth, they've already grown teeth and are now eating grasses properly like their mother and the rest of the goats, it was very spectacular to me. The first day i saw their teeth, i was overwhelmed, now they're making appropriate use of their teeth eating grasses.

When ever i see both of them munching grasses, I'm happy. Getting grasses for their daily meals is not quite an easy job to do, i thereby hired an elderly man that goes into the bushes around us to get their particular delicacy, (grasses for food).

He does this twice a week and as soon as he comes back, i will tie few of the grasses in smaller bunches and give to them, add their water in a bowl for all of them. There are other goats apart from achama. I have the black and white man who fathers these kids and yet another black woman, another female goat yet to deliver kids.

Of course, this is my first time dropping a blog post about my goats in this honoured community, believing I'm accepted.

Thank you friends and please, read through.

Beautiful cc open and already have teeth and can feed themselves, how super

Beautiful goats

Oooooh 😂, thank you very much.

God is too much, I think he knows that their mother's breast milk will not be very much enough for a longer period,

He then quickly prepared their teeth, even before they were two months old and now they feed themselves perfectly 😂.

The goats are really growing fast and big. I recently fenced our property and has been thinking of going into goat rearing. Getting the grasses from it to eat would be the challenge. Maybe you will give me ideas. You are doing really well with the newborns.

Good morning sir, I love goats. Initially I was going all out to get their grasses for food, I enjoyed it.

but as they were becoming more in numbers, I began to look for who to hire for that.

I got one elderly man, he has been doing that somewhere else, we spoke and agreed on twice a week,

he brings a very big bunch then I will pay him a thousand Naira per bunch, so that's what you will do,

just look for someone, then get him a wheelbarrow, he will do the rest for the goats.

Thanks for this tip. I will consider it. Maybe you will sell one small goat to me too. I can start with one and then see how it goes. Preferably one female.

Okay.... oooooh 😂, let's see how it goes.

Hive Power Up Day - October 1st 2025

Okay okk

We used to have them while growing up. But the most difficult part of it for me was going to look for their food mostly during rainy season. Entering the Bush under rain was like a punishment for me

Yes... Anytime, any day, getting their grasses, (food), that's a great challenge.

Even cleaning up their refuse because they always mess up their pen a lot, in my case, I hired someone doing those for me.
