Living with cats teaches you many things, on many occasions I had to hold my breath when I saw Pacha in places I consider dangerous. The issue of heights was complicated for me at the beginning as a new cat mum, my cat loves her wild life and being bold is indispensable, she must always put her hunting skills into practice!... so, having her territory under control is a daily task, that's why Pacha prefers to stay in high and quiet places. They are safe places for her, but I often feel nervous because they are not safe for me!... Once a cat attacked her while she was on the roof of the house, it was a nightmare to hear the whole fight from below! ... I screamed and screamed my cat's name desperately, I took a broomstick and hit the tongue and groove from inside the house, I thought that the noise of the hitting with the broomstick could drive the attacking cat away! ... what a thing, I felt useless and that I couldn't help my cat much from below, after a while I had the joy of receiving my cat free of that thing!... she didn't have a scratch, apparently Pacha had won the fight!...since that day I don't like that Pacha climbs on the roof, I still get nervous.

This beautiful little ball of fur really keeps me entertained!... once you adopt a cat with so much personality, your life will never be the same again! Pacha enjoys all the spaces in the house, she has no fixed place to sleep, all the furniture is hers, all the rooms also belong to her, here she is coming out of the guest room, she knows how to open this window, it's a sliding window and you just have to roll it open. She also likes to sit there for a while, because she has a nice wide view of the house from there.

Once I checked the whole house looking for my cat, I couldn't find her and she was meowing non-stop, she was still small (18 months old) and I thought she was stuck somewhere in the house, I checked all the rooms and I couldn't find her! Then I took a break in the dining room and Pacha made a cute meowing sound coming from the ceiling, I looked up and saw her!.... My cute kitty was on the ceiling, I don't know if you can see her in the picture I took right away! That night I died of love and laughter to see so much tenderness in her little face. I don't know how she managed to get up there, but she learned to climb up to the roof since she was a little girl, no matter if it was at night.

Here it is dawn, and Pacha is up there looking at I don't know what, and she doesn't even care that the tiles are loose, because I can see as if she is trying to keep her balance up there, but apparently she loves to be up on that wall.

I also have a pet tortoise and I am happy that he can't climb, well of course it would be impossible!... Pacha shares little time with her reptile sister, they are usually together when I take the tortoise out of her terrarium for a walk around the house, I guess my cat considers her sister a bit boring.

I have often thought about putting shelves on the walls of my house, so that the cat can use them and not be on the ceiling, but due to the nature and personality of my cat I don't think I will be able to get her to stay inside the house, she is very independent and happy that way, anyway I will try to do it, I might be able to make some progress.

Pacha y sus cosas de gatos 😽

El convivir con gatos te enseña muchas cosas, en muchas ocasiones tuve que aguantar la respiración al ver a la Pacha en lugares que considero peligrosos. El tema de las alturas fue complicado para mí al principio como nueva mama gatuna, mi gata ama su vida salvaje y ser audaz es indispensable, ella debe poner en práctica siempre sus habilidades cazadoras!.. así que, tener controlado su territorio es una tarea diaria, por eso Pacha prefiere ubicarse en lugares altos y tranquilos. Son lugares seguros para ella, pero muchas veces yo me siento nerviosa porque no son seguros para mí!.. Una vez un gato la atacó mientras ella estaba en el techo de la casa, fue una pesadilla escuchar toda la pelea desde abajo! .. yo gritaba y gritaba el nombre de mi gata desesperadamente, tomé un palo de escoba y le daba golpes al machihembrado desde adentro de la casa, pensé que los ruidos de los golpes con el palo podían alejar al gato atacante!.. vaya que cosa, yo me sentía inútil y que no podía ayudar mucho a mi gata desde abajo, pero al rato tuve la dicha de recibir a mi gata ilesa de ese asunto! no le conseguí ni un rasguño, al parecer Pacha había ganado la pelea!..dese ese día no me gusta que Pacha suba al techo, me sigo poniendo nerviosa.

Ésta pequeña hermosa bola de pelos sí que me mantiene entretenida!.. una vez que adoptas una gata con tanta personalidad, tu vida ya no será la misma! Pacha disfruta de todos los espacios de la casa, no tiene un lugar fijo en donde dormir, todos los muebles son suyos, todas las habitaciones también le pertenecen, aquí está saliendo de la habitación de huéspedes, ella sabe como abrir ésta ventana, es una ventana corrediza y solo se debe rodar para que abra. También le gusta quedarse un rato allí sentada, pues tiene un buena vista amplia de la casa desde allí.

Una vez revise toda la casa buscando a mi gata, no la encontraba y ella maullaba sin parar, era pequeña aún (tenía 18 meses) y pensé que estaba atascada en algún lugar de la casa, revise todas las habitaciones y no la conseguía! Luego tomé un descanso en el comedor y Pacha hizo un lindo maullido que provenía del techo, miré hacia arriba y la ví! ... Mi gatita linda estaba en el techo, no sé si logran verla en la foto que le tomé de inmediato! , esa noche morí de amor y risa de ver tanta ternura en su carita. No sé cómo logró llegar allí, pero aprendió a subir al techo desde pequeña, sin importar que fuese de noche.

Aquí está amaneciendo, y Pacha montada viendo no se que cosa, ni le importa que las tejas estén flojas, porque yo veo como si ella estuviera buscando mantener el equilibrio allí arriba, pero al parecer le encanta estar trepada en ese muro.

También tengo una tortuga terrestre de mascota y estoy feliz de que no pueda trepar, bueno claro que sería imposible!.. Pacha comparte con su hermana reptil poco tiempo, generalmente están juntas cuando saco a la tortuga de su terrario a dar un paseo por la casa, supongo que mi gata considera a su hermana un poco aburrida.

Muchas veces he pensado en colocar repisas en las paredes de mi casa, para que la gata las use y no esté en el techo, pero debido a la naturaleza y personalidad de mi gata creo que no podré lograr que ella se quede dentro de la casa, es muy independiente y feliz de esa manera, de todos modos intentaré hacerlo, puede que logre avanzar en algo.
