Esta es la sección donde hablo del amor de mi vida, mi mascota Milagros. Es la segunda vez que hablo de ella acá en Hive pero fue con un edit del día de Star Wars que le hice que pueden ver aquí y sería lindo que darle la bienvenida formal a esta catira, ojos de miel a la plataforma.

This is the section where I talk about the love of my life, my pet Milagros. It's the second time I talk about her here on Hive but it was with a Star Wars day edit I made for her that you can see here and it would be nice if we formally welcome this little honey-eyed catira to the platform.

Historia | Story
Milagros es una perra rescatada, llegó sola a la casa siendo una cachorra de aproximadamente 5 o 6 meses (eso me dijeron, no tenía completamente desarrollados los colmillos) y mantenía “conversaciones” con mi otra perra Baqueta (que ya no está con nosotras). Siempre venía, se quedaba por horas en la entrada de la casa y parecía ser que las dos se entendían muy bien, cosa que me llamaba la atención porque Baqueta era muy territorial y mala cara con los demás perros pero con ella parecía más bien que tenía ganas de jugar y compartir. Yo le colocaba comida fuera de la casa para asegurarme que comiera algo y luego se iba.
Milagros is a rescued dog, she came home alone as a puppy of about 5 or 6 months (so I was told, she didn't have fully developed her fangs) and kept "conversations" with my other dog Baqueta (who is no longer with us). She would always come and stay for hours at the entrance of the house and it seemed that the two of them understood each other very well, something that caught my attention because Baqueta was very territorial and had a bad face with the other dogs but with her it seemed that she was more like she was willing to play and share. I put food outside the house to make sure she had something to eat and then she left.
En noviembre de 2015, más o menos 1 mes después, la dejé entrar en la casa para que jugaran juntas, como pensé se llevaron muy bien, La dejé dentro pero al día siguiente se escapó (su otra cosa favorita, incluso hoy…), no me preocupé demasiado porque después de todo era una perra callejera pero siguió regresando, la dejaba pasar y volvía a salirse.
In November 2015, about 1 month or so later, I let her in the house to play together, as I thought they got along great, I left her inside but the next day she ran away (her other favorite thing, even today...), I wasn't too worried because after all she was a stray dog but she kept coming back, I would let her in and she would go back out.
Una vez regresó cojeando, tenía un corte entre las almohadillas de una pata, estaba infectado y le dolía horriblemente. Llamé al veterinario y pensé que se pondría agresiva pero al estar con ella acariciándola y Baqueta mirándola, se quedó tranquila y se dejó curar. Ahí hice mi primer esfuerzo para que no se escapara, ya que necesitaba estar segura de que su patita sanara y me alegra haberlo hecho. A los días la bañé, cuando estaba segura de que no me mordería o algo y cuando sanó desde luego encontró la manera y se escapó.
Once she came back limping, she had a cut between the pads of one paw, it was infected and hurt horribly. I called the vet and I thought she would get aggressive but when I was with her petting her and Baqueta looking at her, she stayed calm and let it heal. I made my first effort to keep her from running away, as I needed to be sure that her paw would heal and I am glad I did. A few days later I gave her a bath, when I was sure she wouldn't bite me or something and when she healed she certainly found a way and ran away.
En fin así era nuestra relación, entraba a la casa pasaba un tiempo, se escapaba, volvía o yo la encontraba en la calle y la traía de vuelta. Al día de hoy sigue escapándose de vez en cuando pero da una vuelta a la residencia y regresa. Y todo a pesar de que siempre le colocaba más trampas para que no se escapara... esa perra tiene una inteligencia mayor a la mía parece.
Anyway, that's how our relationship was, she would go into the house for a while, run away, come back or I would find her in the street and bring her back. To this day she still escapes from time to time but she goes around the residence and comes back. And all in spite of the fact that I always set more traps for her so she wouldn't run away... that dog has a higher intelligence than mine it seems.
Modales y personalidad | Manners and personality
Baqueta fue una excelente influencia en ella, ya que ella le mostró todas las reglas de la casa como: no entrar a la casa, sentarse antes de recibir la comida, dónde estaba permitido hacer sus necesidades, no morder ni ladrarle la mano que te da de comer ni la los invitados, cuidar la entrada y por supuesto que ella es la que mandaba en el patio. Yo no le tuve que enseñar nada y después de todo ellas jugaban a su manera y se divertían. Como les había dicho una inteligencia superior, jajaja. En cuanto a su personalidad ella siempre ha sido dulce, amorosa, enérgica y feliz.
Baqueta was an excellent influence on her, since she showed her all the rules of the house such as: not to enter the house, to sit before receiving food, where she was allowed to relieve herself, not to bite or bark at the hand that feeds you or the guests, to take care of the entrance and of course she was the one in charge of the yard. I didn't have to teach her anything and after all they played in their own way and had fun. As I had told them a superior intelligence, hahaha. As for her personality she has always been sweet, loving, energetic and happy.
Después que entendió que Baqueta no regresaría se dió la tarea de acompañarme a donde iba en la casa y se sentaba cerca sin dejar de mover la cola y animarme. Incluso pasó un tiempo sin escaparse, me imagino sintió la responsabilidad de que ahora ella era la reina del patio y quien tenía que cuidar el fuerte y a sus humanos.
After she understood that Baqueta was not coming back, she took on the task of accompanying me wherever I went in the house and would sit nearby without stopping wagging her tail and cheering me on. She even spent some time without escaping, I imagine she felt the responsibility that now she was the queen of the yard and the one who had to take care of the fort and her humans.

Sigue siendo una perra feliz y juguetona, siento que no ha cambiado en nada desde el día 1 que la ví y compartí con ella, ya han pasado casi 6 años. Aunque aún hace sus hazañas para escaparse y regresar toda emocionada a la casa, ahora me da miedo que salga y no encontrarla. Siempre aprende cosas nuevas y cada vez goza de más comodidades.
She is still a happy and playful dog, I feel she hasn't changed at all since day 1 when I saw her and shared with her, it's been almost 6 years. Although she still does her feats to escape and come back to the house all excited, now I'm afraid she will go out and I won't find her. She always learns new things and enjoys more and more comforts.
Es un amor con todo el que entra a la casa pero no le gusta que todos se aglomeran y se pone nerviosa cuando bailamos. Mi círculo de amigos y familia la adoran. Todo gira alrededor de ella, quedándose el título de la reina del patio y nuestros corazones.
She is a sweetheart with everyone who enters the house but she doesn't like it when everyone crowds around and gets nervous when we dance. My circle of friends and family adore her. Everything is about her, taking the title of the queen of the yard and our hearts.

Sounds like Baqueta was a good mother to Milagros and I'm sure you miss her terribly. Often times older female dogs do not like when another female dog is brought into the pack & becomes territorial.
Your rambunctious Milagrosis sounds like quite the escape artist. Maybe you can put her talents to use and teach her how to rob banks. Haha!💰
