Bath day isn’t just about keeping my fur baby clean. It’s a little tradition filled with love and laughter. Today, my fluffy Chow Chow, Cardo, had his much-awaited bath, but not from me. His favorite bath buddy, my boyfriend, took charge. Their bond is something special, and every time I watch them together, I’m reminded of the beautiful story behind Cardo.

Almost five years ago, Cardo was a gift from my boyfriend during our anniversary. Since then, the two have been inseparable. It’s like Cardo knows he came from him, and that connection shines through in the way they interact.

Cardo isn’t the easiest pup to bathe. His thick, lion-like mane demands patience and care. But my boyfriend handles it like a pro. He visits every weekend, and sometimes, bath duty becomes his way of spending quality time with Cardo. Watching them is heartwarming: Cardo stands calmly, almost as if he trusts only him with the task.

Of course, Cardo has his own “royal” quirks. He acts like a king during bath time, lifting his paw as if commanding, giving side-eye when the water temperature isn’t to his liking, and puffing up his mane afterward like he’s ready for a royal portrait. My boyfriend just laughs, calling him “His Majesty,” while carefully scrubbing every inch of that fluffy coat.

There’s a playful rhythm to their bath routine. My boyfriend talks to Cardo as if he’s a little brother, and Cardo responds with wagging tail swishes and those signature Chow Chow grumbles. It’s not just grooming; it’s bonding.
For me, it’s a joy to see the two of them together. Bath day turns into a reminder of how pets can strengthen relationships, becoming part of the love story itself. Cardo isn’t just our fur baby; he’s a living symbol of our journey together.
As Cardo dries off, fluffy and fresh, I can’t help but smile. Bath day may be routine, but for us, it’s a celebration of love, loyalty, and the unique bond between a man and his dog. And if you ask Cardo, it’s his royal spa day, complete with his favorite attendant. Here’s to more weekends filled with suds, smiles, and the kind of companionship only pets can bring.

Awwww, animal's love is truly different, like you just knew if you're chosen as their favorite person 😅💕 Cardo is soooo cute, gigil, I don't have the patience to bath my dogs too 😅
Hahahaha! Me, too, I can't manage to bath him, unless I don't have any choice. I'm struggling a lot kasi convincing him during his bath time. 😂
yay Cardo! :)
