En los próximos días, mi gatita Aramis cumplirá ya 3 años de vida, y aunque a esa edad creo que debería estar más asentada en cuanto a su comportamiento, se mantiene súper activa, pidiendo casi siempre salir a explorar los alrededores del edificio donde vivimos.
De hecho, casi todos los días tengo una conversación "madre-hija" con ella, pues solo quiere estar en casa para comer y tomar agua, y luego volver a salir a jugar con sus amigos callejeros, a quienes parece invitar de vez en cuando a casa, pues me llegan a pedir comida casi todo el tiempo.
Apenas abro la puerta, ella corre y se pierde escaleras abajo, pero este día logré captarla en sus travesuras, que la mantienen activa, a veces sola y otras veces se reúne con sus amigos gatos que son del vecindario.
Lo que me sorprendió fue su capacidad de moverse tan rápido, y en un abrir y cerrar de ojos ya está sobre el techo de un depósito que queda contiguo al edificio, que es donde la capturé de primero.
Pero no solo se queda ahí, sino que se pasa a los demás techos, explorando un poco, lo que me gusta porque me da cierta tranquilidad de que no se va a perder.
Por ahora, ella aprovecha el buen clima para pasar más tiempo fuera de casa, y cuando vuelve está tan cansada que come y se acuesta a descansar. Lo mejor es que se acostumbró a hacer sus necesidades en el espacio de tierra que hay en la zona inferior, con lo cual me ahorro el tener que comprar piedritas sanitarias y limpiar a cada tanto.
Y así se van los días de mi gatita, mientras el clima resulta favorable para estar fuera de casa, y se mantiene en forma, pues come a cada ratico, como si no hubiera un mañana.

As soon as I open the door, she runs off and disappears down the stairs, but today I managed to catch her in the middle of her antics, which keep her active—sometimes alone, and other times she meets up with her cat friends from the neighborhood.
What surprised me was her ability to move so fast; in the blink of an eye, she’s already on the roof of a storage shed next to the building—which is where I first spotted her.
But she doesn’t just stay there; she moves on to the other roofs, exploring a bit, which I like because it gives me some peace of mind that she won’t get lost.
For now, she’s taking advantage of the nice weather to spend more time outside, and when she comes back, she’s so tired that she eats and lies down to rest. The best part is that she’s gotten used to doing her business in the patch of dirt at the bottom, which saves me from having to buy litter and clean up every so often.
And that’s how my little cat spends her days—as long as the weather’s nice enough to be outside—and she stays in shape, since she eats every few minutes, as if there were no tomorrow.

Tres años. Se siente joven, al menos hasta que cumpla 5, aunque seguramente seguirá saliendo a diario a darse una vuelta por lo que considera su territorio. Nuestra gata va por los 10 y visita casi todas las casas de la calle a diario y hasta persigue a los perros del vecino cuando se meten en nuestro patio. En el de ellos pasa cuando los sabe dormidos.
Yo estoy esperando que madure de una vez, porque a veces se pone berrinchosa cuando quiere salir pero está lloviendo, por ejemplo.
