Es la primera vez que escribo por acá y quería contarles sobre una bolita de pelos que me enamoró.
Hoy vengo a hablarles de una cosita tan linda y especial, ✨A T E N A S✨

Hace un tiempo mi hermano, su hijastra y yo adoptamos a una perrita, resulta que la perrita de una amiga de mi hermano había tenido cachorritos y no se los podía quedar así que les estaba buscando hogar y así fue como llego Atenas a nosotros.

La adoptamos sin permiso ya que mi mamá no es muy fan de tener animalitos en casa, lo máximo que nos dejaba tener eran peces jajaja, pero aún así decidimos adoptarla ya que al final de cuentas es mejor pedir perdón que pedir permiso ¿no?.
Íbamos a tener como una especie de custodia compartida entre mi hermano y yo, y su hijastra. Atenas era una perrita muy tranquila, lo único que hacía era dormir en una camita improvisada que le hicimos al momento, y cuando se levantaba lo que quería era que le dieran cariño para después volverse a dormir. Se supone que ella se iba a quedar en mi casa una semana si y una no, ya que era una semana ahí y la otra en casa de su otra dueña y así sería la dinámica con Atenas.

Some time ago my brother, his stepdaughter and I adopted a puppy, it turns out that my brother's friend's dog had puppies and she couldn't keep them so she was looking for a home for them and that's how Athens came to us.

We adopted her without permission since my mom is not a big fan of having animals at home, the most she would let us have were fish hahaha, but we still decided to adopt her since at the end of the day it is better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission, isn't it?
We were going to have a kind of shared custody between my brother and me, and his stepdaughter. Atenas was a very calm dog, the only thing she did was sleep in a little improvised bed that we made for her, and when she woke up what she wanted was to be cared for and then go back to sleep. She was supposed to stay at my house for one week and one week off, since it was one week there and the other week at her other owner's house and that would be the dynamic with Atenas

A medida que iba creciendo se iba convirtiendo en un huracán, por dónde pasaba dejaba un desastre aunque habían ocasiones en el día donde ella se cansaba de llevarnos la contraria y empezaba a hacer caso.
Atenas se convirtió en una amante de todo lo que estuviéramos haciendo para el almuerzo y si nosotros íbamos a comer ella también tenía que tener su platito de comida para perros con un poquito de carne o pollo, sino no se sentia parte de la familia. Lo mismo pasaba cuando salíamos, Atenas siempre tenía que ir con nosotros para llevarse todas las miradas y halagos de las personas en la calle.
Le regale un peluche que era mío cuando la llevamos a la casa para que tuviera con que jugar y le tomo tanto cariño que así como lo lanzaba de un lado a otro, también dormía abrazada con el peluche en algunas ocasiones 😂.

As she grew up she became a hurricane, wherever she went she left a mess, although there were times during the day when she got tired of being contrary to us and started to listen to us.
Athens became a lover of whatever we were doing for lunch and if we were going to eat she also had to have her little plate of dog food with a little bit of meat or chicken, otherwise she didn't feel part of the family. The same thing happened when we went out, Atenas always had to go with us to get all the looks and compliments from the people in the street.
I gave her a stuffed animal that was mine when we took her home so she could play with it and she became so fond of it that she would throw it from one side to the other, and she would also sleep cuddled with the stuffed animal on some occasions 😂.

Cuando empezó a crecer más vimos que le gustaba más estar en la otra casa con la otra chica, ellos tienen un terreno grande con muchos árboles y muchas cosas donde Atenas de ponía a jugar y a trepar, ¡¡hasta le hicieron su propia casita!! y pues yo vivia en una casa estilo apartamento. Después de pensarlo tomamos la decisión de dejarla allá y llevarla para mi casa por lo menos una vez al mes, pero ya no sería con la misma frecuencia como antes, mi hermano y yo iríamos cada fin de semana que ella estuviera en su hogar definitivo para llevarle comida, para verla y jugar con ella para que así no se sintiera olvidada por nosotros.

When she started to grow more we saw that she liked more to be in the other house with the other girl, they have a big land with many trees and many things where Atenas used to play and climb, they even made her her own little house!!! and I was living in an apartment style house. After thinking about it we made the decision to leave her there and take her to my house at least once a month, but it would not be as often as before, my brother and I would go every weekend that she was in her permanent home to bring her food, to see her and play with her so she would not feel forgotten by us.

Pasatiempos favoritos de Atenas://Favorite pastimes of Atenas:

saltar una alcantarilla chiquita que tiene cerca de su casita, una y otra vez hasta que se cansa
No puede ver qué el portón del estacionamiento está abierto porque sale corriendo y alguien tiene que salir en pijamas detrás de ella, una vez que nos haya hecho correr un buen tramo se detiene y regresa con nosotros.
Le gusta hacer paseos por las montañas, si, es una perrita fitness.
Le gusta acostarse en la esquina de tu cama, y se queda dormida tranquilamente.
Le gusta el chisme, no puede escuchar la más mínima conversación porque de una vez se asoma a ver qué está pasando.

She can't see that the parking gate is open because she runs out and someone has to come out in her pajamas behind her, once she has made us run a long way she stops and comes back to us.

She likes to go for walks in the mountains, yes, she is a fitness dog.

She likes to lie on the corner of your bed, and falls asleep peacefully.

She likes to gossip, she can't listen to the slightest conversation because all at once she peeks out to see what's going on.

Aunque fue triste no verla tanto en la casa, sabíamos que habíamos hecho bien en dejarla allá porque se sentía feliz y tranquila porque tenía bastante con que jugar, correr y era más fácil para ella adaptarse a un terreno al aire libre con muchos árboles, tierra y ramas que a un apartamento, ella se adapto fácil a su vida allá.
Actualmente Atenas tiene dos años con nosotros, y sigue siendo la misma perrita consentida, juguetona y traviesa que nos cautivó. Espero los haya cautivado a ustedes también, tanto como a nosotros.... Hasta un próximo post.

Although it was sad not to see her so much in the house, we knew we had done well to leave her there because she felt happy and calm because she had enough to play with, run and it was easier for her to adapt to an outdoor terrain with lots of trees, dirt and branches than to an apartment, she adapted easily to her life there.
Currently Atenas is two years old with us, and she is still the same spoiled, playful and mischievous dog that captivated us. I hope she has captivated you too, as much as she has captivated us..... See you in a future post.
