Hola de nuevo! Hoy les traigo un post súper genial, gracias a la invitación de mi amigo @alejandroaldana, que es nombrar las mascotas exóticas que me gustaría tener. Esta es una iniciativa de @ilazramusic que pueden leer con más detalle aquí y me pareció una idea súper chévere, porque realmente creo que muchos hemos querido tener animales salvajes que nos gusten como mascotas. Muchos de los animales que quiero de mascotas podrían comerme jajaja, sin embargo esta sería una situación hipotética donde sería capaz de amaestrar a estos animalitos para que me recuerden y no me ataquen, además, son animales que realmente admiro y siempre gustaron gracias a libros, documentales e incluso una materia que vi en la universidad llamada "biogeografía". Así que hoy les diré que animales exóticos quisiera tener, comencemos!
Hello again! Today I come to you with a super cool post, thanks to the invitation of my friend @alejandroaldana, which is to name the exotic pets that I would like to have. This is an initiative of @ilazramusic that you can read in more detail here and I thought it was a super cool idea, because I really think that many of us have wanted to have wild animals that we like as pets. Many of the animals I want as pets could eat me hahaha, however this would be a hypothetical situation where I would be able to train these animals to remember me and not attack me, besides, they are animals that I really admire and always liked thanks to books, documentaries and even a subject I saw in college called "biogeography". So today I will tell you which exotic animals I would like to have, let's go!
Tigre Blanco | White Tiger
Los tigres son unos de mis animales favoritos de la vida, y el tigre blanco es una sub-especie del tigre de bengala que me llama muchísimo la atención, cuya piel blanca es causa de una mutación genética al momento de la concepción. Aunque estos tigre mayormente intimiden muchísimo, me parecen súper lindos y adoro ver como tratan a sus crías de manera tan amorosa y tierna. Nunca he visto uno en persona más que en documentales y muchos los tienen en cautiverio porque están en peligro de extinción ya que los cazadores son bastante idiotas. Si tuviese la oportunidad de conocer a uno amaestrado y que no me coma sería súper genial! Me encantaría poder abrazar uno y que este me tenga mucho cariño. No me gustaría tenerlo encerrado ya que estos animales deben ser libres, me gustaría visitar a uno en su ambiente natural y que me abrace al saber que soy su amiga.
The tigers are one of my favorite animals in life, and the white tiger is a sub-species of the bengal tiger that catches my attention, whose white skin is the result of a genetic mutation at the moment of conception. Although these tigers are mostly intimidating, I find them super cute and love to see how they treat their cubs so lovingly and tenderly. I've never seen one in person other than in documentaries and many have them in captivity because they are endangered as hunters are pretty idiotic. If I had the chance to meet a tame one and not have it eat me that would be super cool! I would love to be able to cuddle one and have it be very affectionate to me. I would not like to keep it locked up since these animals should be free, I would like to visit one in its natural environment and that it hugs me knowing that I am its friend.
Zorro rojo | Red Fox
Desde que vi la película "El Zorro y El Sabueso" quise tener un zorro como Tod de mascota. Este tipo de zorro es uno de los más abundantes y me parecen súper hermosos, son adaptables y usualmente son nocturnos. Además, en la cultura japonesa se conoce el zorro de las nueve colas, el cual es capaz de proteger los bosques y las aldeas de la mala suerte, haciéndoles homenajes con "máscaras kitsune". Es un animal que aunque es cazador de animales pequeños y en otras culturas lo conozcan por ser traicionero, y aunque no son domésticos por ser difíciles de amaestrar, pueden llegar a ser controlados para al menos no atacar a los humanos. Son seres libres, hiperactivos y bastante inquietos, que aunque me encantaría tener uno de mascota en mi casa prefiero verlos libres y visitarlos, ya que estar en cautiverio debe ser un verdadero infierno para ellos. Además de protegerlos de cazadores.
Ever since I saw the movie "The Fox and the Hound" I wanted to have a fox as a pet Tod. This type of fox is one of the most abundant and I find them super beautiful, they are adaptable and usually nocturnal. Also, in Japanese culture they are known as the nine-tailed fox, which is able to protect forests and villages from bad luck, making tributes to them with "kitsune masks". It is an animal that although it is a hunter of small animals and in other cultures is known for being treacherous, and although they are not domesticated because they are difficult to train, they can be controlled to at least not attack humans. They are free, hyperactive and quite restless beings, and although I would love to have one as a pet in my house, I prefer to see them free and visit them, since being in captivity must be a real hell for them. Nutria | Otter
Las nutrias me parecen unos de los animales más adorables que existen. Hay muchas personas que las han adoptado en un ambiente hogareño, sin embargo, las nutrias son animales que pertenecen a la vida salvaje y tenerlas en casa no es lo más recomendables para ellas, aunque he visto varios videos de nutrias siendo sumamente tiernas con sus dueños. Un dato que me parece sumamente adorable es que al dormir en el agua se agarran de sus manitas de nutria, esto es para que la corriente de agua no las separe de su grupo, pueden llegar a estar más de 10 nutrias agarradas entre sí al dormir para no perderse. Además son divertidas cuando se proponen, ya que pueden ser juguetonas. Me parecen unos animales increíbles y hermosos, siempre he querido conocer una nutria de cerca. Cuando se sienten a salvo de otro animal son bastante dóciles y lindas, me encantaría tener una amiga nutria!
I think otters are one of the most adorable animals that exist. There are many people who have adopted them in a home environment, however, otters are animals that belong to the wild and having them at home is not the most advisable for them, although I have seen several videos of otters being extremely tender with their owners. A fact that I find extremely adorable is that when they sleep in the water they hold on to their little otter hands, this is so that the water current does not separate them from their group, they can be more than 10 otters holding on to each other when they sleep so they do not get lost. They are also fun when they set their minds to it, as they can be playful. I think they are amazing and beautiful animals, I have always wanted to meet an otter up close. When they feel safe from another animal they are quite docile and cute, I would love to have an otter friend!
Carpincho - Chigüire | Capybara
Capaz varias personas la pongan en su listas y es totalmente comprensible! Estos roedores (sí, son los roedores más grandes del mundo) son para mí los más panas del mundo animal, ya que parece que pueden ser amigos de cualquiera. Son bastante dóciles y hasta adorables, he visto muchos de cerca y si no se sienten amenazados, no te harán absolutamente nada. Son unos animales muy famosos aquí en Venezuela, de hecho hay un portal de noticias llamado "El Chigüire Bipolar" que se encarga de hacer sátira mediante notas de prensa falsa con chistes que solo los venezolanos entenderán. Los capibaras siempre me parecieron animales interesantes, sumamente preocupados por sus iguales, sumamente dóciles, con capacidad para ser amaestrados y además, muy cariñosos si se lo proponen, hacen que sea imposible no quererlos. Definitivamente me encantaría tener uno de mascotita.
Many people may put it on their lists and it's totally understandable! These rodents (yes, they are the largest rodents in the world) are for me the most friendly in the animal world, as they seem to be able to be friends with anyone. They are quite docile and even adorable, I have seen many up close and if they don't feel threatened, they will do absolutely nothing to you. They are very famous animals here in Venezuela, in fact there is a news portal called "El Chigüire Bipolar" that is in charge of making satire through fake press releases with jokes that only Venezuelans will understand. Capybaras always seemed to me interesting animals, extremely concerned about their peers, extremely docile, with the ability to be trained and also very affectionate if they try, they make it impossible not to love them. I would definitely love to have one as a pet.
Panda
Como dato curioso, los pandas son mis animales favoritos. Son nativos de Asia, principalmente China y son unos animales sumamente geniales. Son flojitos, torpes y tranquilos cuando no los molestan, cuando se sienten amenazados son capaces de atacar con sus super garras, pero usualmente no pasa si te acercas con tranquilidad y lentitud. Amo ver videos de panditas durmiendo, jugando, intentando agarrar bambú, abrazando a los que los cuidan y siendo sumamente tiernos. De hecho, tengo un gorro de panda jajaja. A veces me encantaría ser como ellos, animalitos que no les molesta la soledad y que solo se preocupan por estar tranquilos y comer, además de que a diferencia de muchos mamíferos estos animalitos prefieren evitar los conflictos. Uno de mis sueños es poder abrazar un oso panda ya que se ven súper peluditos y gorditos, obviamente con las medidas necesarias vigiladas por profesionales, pero no quita que quiera conocer uno algún día. Si tuviese uno de mascota me gustaría que estuviese libre en su hábitat natural y visitarlo cada vez que pueda, para que cuando me vea me recuerde y me abrace.
As a fun fact, pandas are my favorite animals. They are native to Asia, mainly China and are extremely cool animals. They are lazy, clumsy and calm when they are not disturbed, when they feel threatened they are capable of attacking with their super claws, but it usually doesn't happen if you approach them calmly and slowly. I love watching videos of little pandas sleeping, playing, trying to grab bamboo, hugging their caretakers and being extremely cuddly. In fact, I have a panda hat hahaha. Sometimes I would love to be like them, little animals that don't mind loneliness and only care about being quiet and eating, plus unlike many mammals these little animals prefer to avoid conflicts. One of my dreams is to be able to hug a panda bear since they look super furry and chubby, obviously with the necessary measures monitored by professionals, but it doesn't mean that I don't want to meet one someday. If I had one as a pet I would like it to be free in its natural habitat and visit it every time I can, so that when it sees me it remembers me and hugs me.

I hope you liked this list! I love animals and would really love to take care of so many more. It would be great to meet and protect many of the ones I named on the list as they are endangered and protect them from hunters. Animals are amazing creatures! I would love to know which exotic animals you would like to have.
