Saludos amigos de esta comunidad amantes de los animales compañeros de la vida.
En estos días de lluvia son muchos los insectos que entran al apartamento donde vivo, más aun porque queda bastante alto, en un piso 12. Ellos revolotean buscando la luz de las lámparas, desde chinches, mariposas, cigarritas, avispitas, aparte de las moscas y mosquitos que son frecuentes visitantes.
Por supuesto que mi gato Mimi, cuando tiene la oportunidad de hacerlo, comienza la cacería de algunos de ellos. A veces yo lo dejo tranquilo porque se que es una necesidad de los gatos, es algo instintivo, que además le ayuda a desarrollar sus destrezas. Y el no sale del apartamento y no tiene la posibilidad de hacerlo fuera y estar en contacto con la naturaleza.
Sin embargo no puedo verlo comiéndose por ejemplo una cucaracha o una mariposa grande, de esas de colores oscuros que el atrapa con mucha facilidad, creo que cuando estos insectos se refugian en las casas, ya están cerca de morir y por supuesto, están muy débiles y no pueden escapar con la rapidez que se requiere para alejarse de las garras y agilidad de los gatos.
En días pasados entro un insecto mas o menos grande de aproximadamente 6 cm de largo, un hemíptero de la familia de los chinches. Consultando con un amigo entomólogo, supe que se alimentaba de plantas, es fitófago. Así que no había el riesgo de que fuera a picar. Sin embargo su aspecto era impresionante. Estuvo un rato parado en la cortina, pero yo sabia que si Mimí lo veía, lo iba a querer cazar. Y en efecto, fue tras el pero la cortina lo protegía e impedía que Mimí lo agarrara.
No quise ni imaginar a Mimi agarrando y comiéndose ese insecto, así que como pude lo atrapé y lo lancé por la ventana del balcón.
Mimí se quedo un rato buscando, moviendo la cola muy fuerte y maullando, lo que parecía indicar que estaba muy molesto. Yo me hice la desentendida. Por ultimo no le quedó otra alternativa que echarse en el piso. Así que le dije -Mi chiquito, en otra oportunidad será, y él se me quedó mirando, como pensando que yo era la responsable de la huida de su presa.

Of course my cat Mimi, when she has the opportunity to do so, starts hunting some of them. Sometimes I leave him alone because I know it is a cat's need, it is something instinctive, which also helps him to develop his skills. And he doesn't leave the apartment and doesn't have the possibility to do it outside and be in contact with nature.
However, I cannot see him eating for example a cockroach or a big butterfly, one of those dark colored ones that he catches very easily, I think that when these insects take refuge in the houses, they are already close to die and of course, they are very weak and cannot escape with the speed that is required to get away from the claws and agility of the cats.
In the last few days a more or less large insect of approximately 6 cm long, a hemiptera of the bedbug family, entered the house. Consulting with an entomologist friend, I learned that it feeds on plants, it is phytophagous. So there was no chance it was going to bite. However, its appearance was impressive. He was standing on the curtain for a while, but I knew that if Mimi saw him, she would want to hunt him. And indeed, he went after him but the curtain protected him and prevented Mimi from grabbing him.
I didn't even want to imagine Mimi grabbing and eating that insect, so as best I could I caught it and threw it out the balcony window.
Mimi kept looking around for a while, wagging his tail very loudly and meowing, which seemed to indicate that he was very upset. I pretended not to notice. Finally she had no choice but to lie down on the floor. So I told him, -My little one, another time and he just stared at me, as if he thought I was responsible for the escape of his prey.

Mi gatica que tambien se llama mimi, ultimamente ha traido muchas cosas a casa, tambien por la temporada de lluvia se vulve loca cazando todo lo que ve, hoy por cierto cazo un cotejo de hermosos colores, y nos dio tnta lastima que lo salvamos de una muerte segura.
Hola @fabian98, jajajaja Mimi es un gatito y mis hijas siempre me dicen que le puse un nombre de hembra. Cuando tratamos de salvar un animalito de las garras de nuestros gatitos, eso dice que somos personas con sensibilidad.

Jajajaja obviamente Mimi te quería proteger que ese insecto extraño te atacará . ellos suelen ser muy sobreprotectores y celosos con sus humanos . Mimi pensaría que le quitaste su papel de protector al quitar a su posible presa y se molestó.
