I don't know how long it's been since I wrote about my cat... But among all the news to tell you, it turns out that "Queen" was actually a male cat, and we had no choice but to call him "King". Like any new mother with her ignorance, it was after four months that we realized that great detail, realizing that she had a -male reproductive system-.
We didn't know whether to laugh or cry, the truth is that by that time we felt sad and guilty because we should have reviewed it earlier and be more attentive. I remember that when they gave us the cat, they told us that it was a female, therefore, immediately upon seeing her, I decided to call her “Queen”. At first it was difficult to get used to calling him by another name and to assimilate that it was male, however, over time we adapted.
Personalidad
Anteriormente les había comentado que King no era un gato cariñoso, sus manifestaciones de amabilidad y cariño se limitaban en lugares como la cocinar, para pedir comida por supuesto y una que otra vez cuando estaba de ánimos se acercaba para acariciarlos los pies. Sin embargo, cuando intentábamos hacerle mucho cariño o acercarnos demasiado, él actuaba de forma odiosa y un poco agresivo.
Previously I had told you that King was not an affectionate cat, his manifestations of kindness and affection were limited to places such as cooking, to ask for food of course and once in a while when he was in the mood it would come over to pet their feet. However, when we tried to cuddle him too much or get too close, it would act obnoxious and a bit aggressive.
Con los meses, mi chico gruñón se convirtió en un gato más tranquilo y manso, pero seguía con su personalidad prepotente y de pocos amigos. King ama salir todas las mañanas a hacer sus necesidades por los jardines de la urbanización y se dedica a cazar.
Over the months, my grumpy boy became a calmer and more meek cat, but he continued with his arrogant personality and few friends. King loves going out every morning to relieve himself in the gardens of the urbanization and is dedicated to hunting.
Desarrollo
Yo consideraba que King David era un gato bipolar, en el sentido que muchas veces lo veía tímido para interactuar con los otros gatos. Sin embargo, hizo correr a mas de un perro pequeño en la urbanización. Ya después que creció comenzó con sus cambios hormonales y sus necesidades fisiologicas, fueron tiempos difíciles para él. Los gatos y las gatas venían a buscarlo por lo ventana. Él muchas veces se quedaba por la calle y regresaba al otro día.
I considered that King David was a bipolar cat, in the sense that I often saw him as shy to interact with other cats. However, he did run more than one small dog in the urbanization. Already after he grew up he began with his hormonal changes and his physiological needs, they were difficult times for him. All cats came to look for him through the window. He often stayed on the street and came back the next day.
Esterilización
Alrededor de hace un mes, una amiga me comentó que la RAC haría una jornada económica de esterilización y fue que decidí aprovechar de esterilizarlo. En este sentido, todos estaríamos más tranquilos, debido a que King ya estaba llorando mucho, no quería regresar a la casa y se peleaba más de lo normal con otros gatos. Sé que esto es algo que pasa cuando los gatos no se esterilizan desde los 5 meses de nacidos.
La foto acontinuación fue tomada el día de la esterilización, aún con los efectos de la anestesia pero con todos sus signos vitales.
About a month ago, a friend told me that the RAC would do a cheap sterilization day and that is why I decided to take advantage of sterilizing him. In this sense, we would all be calmer, because King was already crying a lot, he did not want to return to the house and he was fighting more than usual with other cats. I know this is something that happens when cats are not sterilized by 5 months of age.

Alimentación
Me atrevería a decir que King es uno de los gatos más comelones y consentido en ese sentido. Él come más que cualquier otra persona en la casa. Ama los pescaditos y normalmente le variamos la comida con carnes blancas y rojas entre semanas. Desde que me comentaron que el hígado lo alimentaba bastante, también se incluyó en su dieta. No lo veo tomando mucha agua, pero supongo en determinados momentos del día, lo hará cuando le apetezca.
I would dare to say that King is one of the most greedy and spoiled cats in that sense. He eats more than anyone else in the house. He loves little fish and we normally vary his meal with white and red meats between weeks. Since a friend told me that the liver fed him a lot, it was also included in his diet. I don't see him drinking a lot of water, but I suppose at certain times of the day, he will do it when he feels like it.
Esparcimiento
Actualmente, mi hijo adoptivo se ve más tranquilo. A pesar de que le gusta seguir saliendo a hacer sus necesidades, cazar y buscar amigos por la calle; se nota un gran cambio en su personalidad y ya no le gusta quedarse largas horas afuera. Sale a tomar la brisa, y cuando se encuentra con otros gatos, se sienta a observarlos con atención.
Currently, my adopted son seems calmer. Although he likes to go out to relieve himself, hunt and look for friends on the street; You can see a big change in his personality and he no longer likes to stay outside for long hours. He goes out to catch the breeze, and when he comes across other cats, he sits watching them intently.

Me encanta!!! Yo tambien tengo un gatito llamado Apolo y es MA RA VI LLO SO. Me dió mucha risa que no te dieras cuenta que era un gato, y no una gata, pero me imagino que suele suceder mucho hahahaha. Me gustó mucho tu historia y King si que es un gato precioso!
Es que como dije, King es un gato algo gruñón y no era de alzar su colita mucho, tampoco se volteaba para dejarlo acariciar. Un día como nunca se volteó y fue que nos percatamos... jajaja!
