That reminds me a bit of the when we got a puppy... it was right in the middle chaos, so many things were happening (funny enough I can't recall what that was at this moment!) and on top of all that we got a small rescue dog that had to be trained.. it was like having another child in terms of responsibilities! We still have our dog though the chaos passed as it always does and we had no real reason to give him back to the shelter (love you know).

Yeah! When it rains it pours, life has that cyclical quality. I know what you mean, when you say you can't remember the details, just that the time itself was chaotic... You're too busy navigating through it all that you're not making as many discrete memories of events... It all merges into a blur until things calm down again and you mental bandwidth is not so heavily taxed. Happy to hear you still have your rescue dog! Looking back I'm sure it was all worth it in the end taking on a new family member. Yes, love indeed! It's powerful stuff
