Sometimes my kitten and I spend the afternoon in the living room of the flat, suddenly I'm doing some work on the computer and she is always playing with my bag, so I take advantage of every opportune moment to take some pictures of her, to have a larger collection of photos of how she is growing up.
At almost 7 months old, I am surprised that despite not having grown up with her mother, and not having obtained her necessary nutrients through her mother's milk, which is essential in the first two months, she has still been growing healthily, also with the due care of my wife and I, to be aware of her proper nutrition and her state of mind.
A veces algunas mi gatita y yo solemos pasar la tarde en la sala del apartamento, de repente yo haciendo algunos trabajos en la computadora y ella jugando siempre con mi bolso, así aprovecho en cada momento oportuno de hacerle unas fotografías, para tener una mayor recopilación de fotos de cómo va su crecimiento.
Ya con casi 7 meses de edad, me sorprende que a pesar de no haber crecido con madre, y no haber obtenido sus nutrientes necesarios por medio de la leche de la mamá, que es esencial en los primeros dos meses, aun así ha venido creciendo saludablemente, también con el debido cuidado de mi esposa y yo, de estar pendientes de su adecuada alimentación y su estado anímico.
Every day Kira is adopting a mature character, although she tends to be very playful with us and our dog Brandy, who has adapted very well with her; they play, sleep and hang out together. Maybe there is already that sisterly connection between them, or who knows if she may be seeing the dog as a mother figure, even though they are not the same species, but they have complemented each other very well.
Even a behaviour that is very ingrained in my kitten Kira, is the fact of sucking a blanket, as if she was trying to suckle, but it is a behaviour that can be characteristic in cats that could not grow up with their mother, even in more advanced ages the cat can continue with this behaviour a little unusual.
Cada día Kira está adoptando un carácter maduro, aunque suele ser muy juguetonas con nosotros y nuestra perra Brandy, a la cual se ha adaptado muy bien con ella; juegan, duermen y pasan el rato juntas. Quizás ya exista esa conexión fraternal entre ellas, o quién sabe si puede estar viendo a la perra como la figura de una madre, a pesar de no ser la misma especie, pero es que se han complementado muy bien entre ellas.
Incluso un comportamiento que queda muy arraigado en mi gatita Kira, es el hecho de chupar una cobija, como si tratará de amamantar, pero es un comportamiento que puede ser característicos en gatos que no pudieron crecer con su mamá, hasta en edades más avanzadas el gato o gata puede seguir con ese comportamiento un poco inusual.
On the other hand, I am also surprised how Kira learned to do her needs by herself, since the first day I put her in her litter box, she herself knew that this was her place to do her physiological needs, and for that reason we didn't have any kind of problem, if we had to teach her. Usually little kittens learn all that from what they see from their mother, as well as the act of grooming, which for Kira was an act that she learned quickly and intuitively.
Kira is a cat that went through the adversities of being abandoned on a cold night, and that was found at the right time, otherwise she could have died during the night, and during all this process of her life she has known how to identify intuitively her behaviour as a feline.
It is a surprising fact, the way animals can easily adapt even without having grown up with their mothers, as an evolutionary part can be considered as a process of what animal intelligence means, and that we cannot consider that it is much less than ours, when the opposite is proven.
This is how it is a pleasure to share part of Kira's life in photographs and how she is developing, I hope to continue publishing all the events of this beautiful member of the family, and to have the pleasure of getting to know her much better.
Por otro lado también me sorprende como Kira, aprendió sola hacer sus necesidades, desde el primer día que le puse su caja de arena, ella misma supo que ese era su lugar para hacer sus necesidades fisiológicas, y por esa parte no tuvimos ningún tipo de problema, de haber tenido que enseñarle. Por lo general los gatitos pequeños aprende todo eso por lo que ve de su madre, al igual que el acto de acicalarse, que para Kira fue un acto que lo aprendió rápido y de la manera intuitiva.
Kira es una gata que pasó por las adversidades de haber sido abandonada en una noche fría, y que fue encontrada en el momento justo, de no ser así pudo haber muerto pasando la noche, y durante todo este proceso de su vida ha sabido identificar intuitivamente su comportamiento como felino.
Es un hecho que sorprende, la manera como los animales pueden adaptarse fácilmente incluso sin haber crecido con sus madres, como parte evolutiva puede considerarse como un proceso de lo que significa la inteligencia animal, y que no podemos considerar que es mucho menor que la de nosotros, cuando se demuestra todo lo contrario.
Es así como es un gusto compartir parte de la vida de Kira en fotografías y como viene desarrollándose, espero seguir publicando todo el acontecer de esta hermosa integrante de la familia, y tener el gusto de que la conozcan mucho mejor.
