Greetings beautiful community, pet lovers, almost a month ago we have in the family a new member of the family, which we would only be his temporary home, but in my house, we all fell in love with him and we ended up adopting him, I could not make that decision alone because I already have in my charge the two older dogs, even so, so my sister and my dad ended up making the decision itself; of course the one who wakes up and takes him to the doctor is me.
My sister had already introduced him here in the community, if you want to know more about him and why we had to be a temporary home, I leave you the my sister's post. We named this baby Oddie and he arrived super small, and from the moment we decided to adopt him, I have been taking him to the doctor to be checked, because besides being delicate, he also came with a very bad diarrhea.
The doctor was surprised by the improvement he had shown, since the neighbor, who rescues animals, had already shown him a photo of the conditions in which he was found and saw that in a short time he was more active. They injected him and sent him some medicines, including 125 mg metronidazole for 5 days and if the diarrhea persisted, for 3 more days, and natural yogurt for 3 days, to stabilize his stomach, besides the diet was framed in only ground beef and chicken.
In addition, she dewormed him at once and told me to be sending him as he was making poop every day; however, two days later, he was still doing very bad and she told me to take him, and that if I gave him metronidazole for 3 more days than he had been prescribed. He stayed that way until he finally got better.
In total, I have taken him 4 times to the doctor and in each visit he has gained weight, the first time about 800 grams and a week later, a kilo and a half. They sent him vitamins, being the wampole, which I am also giving to the other 2 and just today I took him again, for his first vaccination and guess how much he is already weighing, two and a half kilos, it is impressive how much he has gained in weight.
I bought him some chicken paws, because he dropped a lot of blood when he was injected and that means his platelets are a little low, because his defenses are not too low, it is normal because of the conditions he came in, but as he has been given vitamins, he was strong enough for the first dose of vaccination and he has reacted very well, besides it was just and necessary because of the viruses spreading everywhere, I don't take him out, not even to the porch, it is the best, even the doctor doesn't like that the puppies when they go there are put on the floor, they have to be loaded.
My little Oddie has grown a lot, tripling the size he arrived in less than a month. It is incredible how people throw away such a small and defenseless being, because the doctor told me that he was taken from his mother before his time, or the poor thing died, we really don't know anything about his family, only that he was rescued and those who rescued him were not taking good care of him.
Oh, I also took Hercules to the doctor, because he has skin problems again, not so bad, but yes. Nevertheless, they found him with his defenses good and everything in order, beyond what he has.
I hope Oddie continues to improve and becomes a strong puppy and away from all bad viruses and Hercules continues for many more years with us.

Saludos linda comunidad, amantes de las mascotas, hace ya casi un mes que tenemos en la familia a un nuevo miembro de la familia, el cual solo seriamos su hogar temporal, pero en mi casa, todos nos enamoramos del él y lo terminamos adoptando, yo no podía tomar esa decisión sola porque ya tengo a mi cargo a los dos perros mayores, aun así, por lo que mi hermana y mi papá terminaron tomando la decisión en sí; claro la que se desvela y lo lleva al médico soy yo.
Mi hermana ya lo había presentado por aquí en la comunidad, si quieren saber más de él y el porque tuvimos que ser un hogar temporal, les dejo el post de mi hermana. Este bebé le pusimos el nombre de Oddie y llego super pequeño, y desde el momento en que se decidió adoptar, lo he estado llevando a control médico, a que lo revisaran, pues además de venir delicado, también vino con una diarrea muy fea.
El doctor sorprendido por la mejoría que había dado, ya que la vecina, quien rescata animales, ya le había mostrado una foto de las condiciones en que fue encontrado y vio como en poco tiempo ya estaba más activo. Lo inyectaron y le mandaron unos medicamentes, entre ello metronidazol de 125 mg por unos 5 días y si persistía la diarrea, por 3 días más, y yogur natural por 3 días, para estabilizarle el estómago, además de que la dieta estaba enmarcada en solo carne molida y pollo.
Además, lo desparasitó de una vez y me dijo que le estuviera enviando como hacia pupú todos los días; sin embargo, a los dos días después, aún seguía haciendo muy feo y me dijo que le llevara, y que si le diera metronidazol por 3 días más de los que se le había indicado. Así estuvo, hasta que por fin mejoró.
En total, lo he llevado 4 veces al medico y en cada visita a aumentado de peso, la primera vez unos 800 gr pesada y, a la semana después, kilo y medio. Le mandaron vitaminas, siendo el wampole, el cual también les estoy dando a los otros 2 y justamente hoy lo lleve nuevamente, para su primera vacuna y, adivinen cuánto ya está pesando, dos kilos y medio, es impresionante lo mucho que ha aumentado de peso.
Le compré paticas de pollo, ya que boto mucha sangre cuando lo inyectaron y eso significa plaquetas un poco bajas, porque tampoco es que tiene las defensas muy hacia el piso, es normal por las condiciones en que vino, pero como se le ha dado vitaminas, tenia la fuerza suficiente para la primera dosis de vacunación y ha reaccionado muy bien, además de que era justa y necesaria por los virus esparciéndose en todas partes, eso sí, yo no lo saco, ni al porche, es lo mejor, incluso el doctor no le gusta que a los cachorros cuando vayan para allá sean puestos en el piso, tienen que ir cargados.
Ha crecido mucho mi pequeño Oddie, triplicando el tamaño en el que llego en menos de un mes. Es increíble como las personas botan un ser tan pequeño e indefenso, pues el doctor me dijo que se lo quitaron a la mamá antes de tiempo, o la pobre murió, realmente no sabemos nada de su familia, solo que lo rescataron y quienes lo rescataron no lo estaban cuidando bien.
Ah, también aproveché de llevar a Hércules al médico, pues otra vez tiene problemas de piel, no tan fuertes, pero sí. No obstante, lo encontraron con sus defensas buenas y todo en orden, más allá de lo que tiene.
Espero Oddie siga mejorando y se vuelva un perrito fuerte y lejos de todo virus malo y a Hércules siga por muchos más años con nosotros.
