When we saw her, my husband and I looked at each other and we both thought the same thing because she would become the daughter that nature denied us.
Last night we dressed her up and went out with her to a party that was going on in our community.
Now we are learning about this type of breed, the foods I can give her, the care she should have and everything that is necessary for her to have the healthiest stay possible. One thing is for sure: My husband and I will give her all the love and affection we can because she is our daughter.
I have to be honest and say that my health problems have improved and my depression has diminished a lot because Machi already manages with her love and wet kisses to make me see that I have reasons to keep fighting for life.

La verdad es que nunca pensamos volver a tener una mascota porque cuando salimos de Cuba tuvimos que dejar a Risto y a Sacha y eso nos rompió el corazón.

Tampoco pensé volver a escribir en esta comunidad porque me dolió lo que pasó con mis cachorros, mascotas o hijos. Pero, hay un refrán que dice que quien escupe al viento arriesga la cara y eso nos pasó este martes porque volvimos a adoptar una nueva mascota y, en este caso, fue una perrita llamada Machi que ya nos tiene robado el corazón.
Cuando la vimos, mi esposo y yo nos miramos y los dos pensamos lo mismo porque ella llegaría a ser la hija que la naturaleza nos negó.
Ayer por la noche la vestimos y salimos con ella para una fiesta que se estaba haciendo en nuestra comunidad.
Ahora estamos aprendiendo sobre este tipo de raza, las comidas que le puedo dar, los cuidados que debe tener y todo lo que sea necesario para que tenga una estancia lo más saludable posible. Una cosa sí es segura: Mi esposo y yo le daremos todo el amor y el cariño que podamos porque es nuestra hija.
Tengo que ser honesta y decir que mis problemas de salud se han mejorado y mi depresión ha disminuido bastante porque Machi ya logra con su cariño y sus besos mojados hacerme ver que tengo motivos para seguir luchando por la vida.

Es muy fácil romper esa promesa, cuando tienes una carita tan hermosa al frente, que quiere ser adoptada.
Yo también prometí no tener más mascotas luego de que mi perrita luna partió de esta tierra, me dolió mucho su ausencia.
